NYCN IKORODU LG CHAPTER KICKS OFF ‘THE POTENTIAL’ FOOTBALL COMPETITION WITH 16 TEAMS, APPRECIATES LAGOS SPORTS COMMISSION DG & WASIU ADESINA FOR SUPPORT ®™✓ INN Nigeria ©

The sport segment of this year’s ‘The Potential’ Powered by the National Youth Council Of Nigeria Ikorodu Local Government Chapter kicked of on the 8th of March 2021 at the Igbogbo Police Barracks (Stadium).

16 teams from both (Private and public) Schools has been selected across Ikorodu Division to participate in the soccer tournament, Namely;

14. ADLKEF 15. THE EXCELLENT 16. HIS COMFORT

Tagged ‘Ikorodu Elevate’ through sport and entertainment for special talented individuals, The Sport Coordinators stated the need for such activities to be consistent in order for great talents to be discovered consecutively in Ikorodu.

The Potential Football Tournament Coordinator, Sali Babatunde spoke on the experience of the event soofar.

“This is the Day 2 of the tournament and I can say that all schools have been cooperating with us. It is obvious this students want to do something with their careers” Sali Babatunde

16 schools responded to our invitation and we kicked off yesterday. Winners will have an issued certificate courtesy of the National Youth Council Nigeria Ikorodu Local Government Chapter”

We are actually seeking for more support, but we have been told to keep moving with the Competition, our success will determine the level of support that will come in on the later” Sali Babatunde Added

“This is the first time it is happening in Ikorodu and we are set to catch them young because we have alot of Potentials in Ikorodu” Comrade Awolesi Olabisi

“The Director General Of Lagos State Sports Commission, Oluwatoyin Gafaar Bolowotan and our Executive chairman (Hon Wasiu Adesina) has both pledged their support for this Competition and we appreciate them for supporting Ikorodu sports” Comrade Awolesi Olabisi (Deputy Coordinator NYCN Ikorodu Local Government Chapter)
