The 23rd of March will remain indelible in the minds of the Principal, Teachers, Students and the good people of Odo-Kekere community high school in Odogunyan Ikorodu North LCDA as Apex Leader, Chief Asipa Olusanya Kaoli commissions Rehabilitated and furnished 3-Classrooms.
When the plight of the Odo-Kekere community, which has been without a school for over 200 years of it’s existence, was brought to the attention of Asipa Kaoli by Hon. Mathew Adesanya, the unrelenting champion of grassroots development in Ikorodu North LCDA, Asipa, as usual, was moved by the need to ensure that the many children of the community are not denied education for whatever reason.
Asipa Kaoli intervened, promising to ensure that the school is not left in a state of squalor.
“Today is a page in the history of this school. The establishment of this school will bring further development to this community” Odo-Kekere Jnr High School Principal
“Our children in this community usually go to Odogunyan to access secondary school. But now, The school has given room for children in this community and environs to enjoy secondary education without going far”
“I want to further appeal that we are clamoring for more collective efforts, we must put in our best to ensure that we create an enabling Institution as the development of this school requires our joint Contributions to ensure that we create enabling environment for our children to learn”
The Principal also commended the efforts of all the community leaders for putting heads together to commence the construction of the three classroom blocks.
“I cannot leave without giving a strong Kudos to Chief Kaoli Olusanya [Proprietor of Kith & Kin school in Ikorodu] for his concerted efforts to ensure the completion of the three classroom blocks” Principal Added
Amongst the guests present to grace the Commissioning were His Royal Majesty (Alayeluwa) Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, The Ayangburen of Ikorodu kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Eweye of Isiu Oba Oluwakayode David Raji Balogun, Chiefs and Baales’, Lagos State A.P.C deputy vice chairman Chief Sunny Ajose, Chairman Ikorodu North LCDA Bldr Adeola Adebisi Banjo, Hon. Mrs. Agoro- Special Adviser for special duty, Hon. Matthew Adesanya, Tescom Chairman & Chief Kaoli Olusanya Asipa.
The Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Bldr Adeola Adebisi Banjo in his speech applauded the CDA Chairman Mr Moshood Bisiriyu Oguntade, Pastor Daniel Adegboyega for his God-given vision and also The good people of Odo-Kekere for their steadfastness and thoughtfulness in Contributing to Community Development and not always the other way round.
“I would ensure from henceforth to support the school in the payment of Salaries and equally donate additional white marker
boards to the classrooms of the school” Bldr Adeola Banjo
With the Commissioning of the block of three classrooms built and equipped by Asipa Kaoli Olusanya at the fledging Odo-Kekere Community High School, The former Commissioner and current Vice chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has fulfilled the promise he made to the border community during the campaign for the election of Senator Tokunbo Abiru few months back.
In his remarks, The Apex Leader, Chief Asipa Olusanya Kaoli stressed the need for projects of this nature to be firmly supported in order for future leaders to attain Affirmative education.
“If you take a closer look at the school Structure before this upgrade, it is obvious that the system is failing to create the right learning environment for the children. And we cannot let it continue in that form” Chief Asipa Kaoli
“Anticipating to have great future leaders begins from our community educational systems, Alot of this children have no access to learning materials, Culminating with dilapidated facilities will only result in producing youths with no future ambition”
“This is why I came to support this Administration in rehabilitating the school building and making the environment more conducive for learning. Without any doubt the support they have received today will go a long way to reshape the Identity of the school and give the children course to be happy while growing educationally” Chief Asipa Kaoli Asserted
The management, Teachers and pupils of the school, as well as leaders and people of the community, were full of praises for Asipa Kaoli, vowing never to forget his hands of help at a time they were forgotten by many.
Speakers after speakers applauded the effort oft the former Commissioner and prayed that God will reward him accordingly.
