To be grateful or thankful for any help rendered at any point in time is one of the exoteric qualities of a responsible human being. I am grateful to God Almighty for the privilege given to be victorious in the election freely and fairly conducted yesterday in Osogbo determining the people that would pilot the affairs of the party in the zone for the next four years. I am indeed indebted if I fail to acknowledge the maximum support rendered by His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State Executive Governor, the leader of the South West zone of the Peoples Democratic Party and epitome of leadership excellence in repositioning the party in the region.
It’s important to equally appreciate the fatherly roles and support of H.E Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the former Governor of Osun State and the former Deputy Governor and ex Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mama Erelu Olusola Obada, Senator Adenigba Fadahunsi, H.E Segun Oni, Senator Olujinmi, Hon. Oluwole Oke, Engnr Jide Adeniji, Baba Dr. Olu Alabi, Baba Shuaib Oyedokun and all other leaders for the firm position made to reposition our great party in the South West. I am indeed grateful to my leader and mentor Chief Oluwole Oludaisi Aina PhD FABS for your usual contributions towards everything that concerns me and the development of our great party at all time. Special recognition and appreciation to Hon Soji Adagunodo, one of my political mentors with whom I am pleased with. Your frantic efforts on my political career will never go unacknowledged, thank you so much for all you do sir!!
I use this medium to appreciate the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party led by Prince Uche Secondus for their unrelenting efforts on the move to reposition the party by constituting the clearheaded committee members led by His Excellency Governor Otorm, other members of the party, the security personnel and the press men who conducted credibly free and fair election devoid of rigging and manipulation in compliances with the constitutional provisions of our great party. It’s indeed a remarkable, worthy and democratic experience and process paving ways for a solid foundation in building a big family carrying along every stakeholder in one fold.
I am grateful to all the concerned members, leaders, delegates and stakeholders of the party who came out to decide who would lead the party in the zone for the next four years. I am thankful for all the supports rendered, I am assuring you an all inclusive leadership policies that will enhance more youthful participations and involvement towards the common goals of the party and more importantly our tenacious spirits to be freed from the bad leadership of the ruling party. It’s worth to note that in repositioning the party as I emphasize, it’s a collective responsibility because a house divided against itself cannot achieve anything.
