About 200 players were scouted on the 8th of May 2021 at Igbogbo Police Barracks Stadium in Ikorodu as Bishop Festus Otusanya Omomajemu partners with the Bulgarian International Football Tournament.
More than 10 clubs (from surulere, Orile Iganmu, Badagary and Barracks) graced the screening process in Ikorodu from across Lagos and also from Ogun state respectively (with 5 teams Representing Ikorodu).
Referees from Lagos State with Club CEO’s were also in Attendance.
65 players were eventually selected from the phase one of the screening from under 13 (gaining 35 players) and Under 15 (realising 30 players).
Alhaji Shonibare (The Chairman Of Ikorodu Football Association was amongst Personalities present to supervise the first phase of the tournament.
Phase two of the scouting process Continues on the 15th of May 2021 at the Igbogbo Police Barracks
18 players from both categories (which would be merged to make up the 36 players) will be selected at the final stage of the screening process to be camped and Facilitated to partake at the Bulgarian International Football Tournament in August 2021.
According to the Facilitator, Bishop Festus Otusanya Omomajemu, He stated that during the camping which will last for a month would aid the organising committee of the tournament adequate time to process every necessary requirements needed for the selected players to travel to Bulgaria to participate in the international competition.
