Campaign members of the Chairman of Ikorodu local governments (Hon Wasiu Adesina) galvanised media agencies on the 27th of May 2021 in an emergency press briefing over speculation of APC party leadership endorsing aspirants in Ikorodu.

While Ikorodu News Network was not physically on ground to ascertain the main essence of the briefing, INN eventually reached out to the Chairman of Ikorodu local government to gain clarity on the bowl of contention.

According to the Video released, Executives representing the WADESH Campaign expressed concerns over speculations of APC party leaders in Ikorodu Local Government endorsing the newly merged campaign aspirations of Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba and Hon Azeez Jimoh Olosugbo for the position of Chairman and vice chairman respectively.

The WADESH campaign team disclosed that nothing of such had occurred as everyone is laser focused on the primaries coming up on the 29th of May 2021.

When INN reached out to the council boss after reviewing the brief, Hon Wasiu Adesina stated his concerns on the rumours, considering it inaccurate and misleading on the side of his supporters.

“I have nothing against aspirants merging to work on a great campaign, My only concern is the rumour that APC party leaders endorsed the merged aspirants officially. That is not true and we are all heading towards the primaries to ascertain the possible outcome” Hon Wasiu Adesina

“The essence of the press briefing was to let our supporters know the truth and put their minds at rest that the WADESH campaign is moving strong in the campaign trail” Hon Wasiu Adesina Added
