
On the 5th of June 2021, Igbogbo students’ Union brought it’s Children Empowerment Fund program to a climax at the Kith & Kin college hall in owode-Ibeshe, Ikorodu.
The program which was meant to detect the benefits of identifying potentials in students through and extra-curricula activities hosted various institutions across the various wards in igbogbo baiyeku LCDA.
Graced by esteemed personalities including Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Aarebirin Hon Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, Hon MKO Arowolo and Princess Basirat Banjoko, The 4 hours grand finale program (Powered by Igbogbo Students’ Union) featured mathematics competition, debates and poetry to showcase the finest brains igbogbo baiyeku has to offer.
According to the anchor of the program Hon Comrade Clinton Adeniji who also doubles as the President of the Igbogbo students’ Union, The Program achieved abundantly well even with limited resources to canvass the numerous institutions involved in the competition.
The President and his Union’s vice president Miss Bolatito Omotosho was lauded by the special guests in attendance for putting up an intellectual forum as C.H.E.F 2021.
Speaking to the students in his remarks, The Councillor representing Owode-Ibeshe ward 4 (Hon MKO Arowolo) used himself as a case study to admonish participants on ensuring they make the best out of their academic strides in order to emerge successful in the tussle of life expectancies.
“I knew how many times I had to write exams for me to further my education, and even at that, I put myself through a rigorous training process that positioned me to have access towards different streams of income. That is why in my pursuit as a councillor I have been able to shine bright not only in Ikorodu division but also in Lagos state and Nigeria” Hon MKO Arowolo
“Am urging you all today to take positive advantages of the friends you have in your secondary education because most of them are set by God to be with you in your walk through life. Don’t waste your time, continue to engage in your studies to be the best is what you will have at the end”
“Coming here today, I am not only representing myself, But also the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr Sesan Daini and I know if he had attended this program, he would be soo proud of the accomplishments of Igbogbo Students’ Union. This is why I will shortly partner with them to ensure programs like this keeps running to appreciate those who’ve decided to make good use of their time and study more to become better ambassadors to Ikorodu” Hon MKO Arowolo Added
The Vice-Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Aarebirin Hon Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba in her speech wasted little time in appreciating the Students’ Union for their fervent follow to boost the educational arms of igbogbo baiyeku LCDA while at the same time posing a challenge for them to grow up their confidence level in order to accomplish greater heights going forward.
Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, Who also doubles as the current National Coordinator Yoruba Women Council worldwide charged the students to stay in line with every form of moral conduct that would keep them focused on their academic practises.

Apex leader, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe took the platform to adjoin leaders on areas to support education across Ikorodu Division with aim at producing first class professionals from varieties of fields to advance the economic and social clime of the region.
“It is noticeable that we have academic driven young minds in Ikorodu, If given the right pathway and support would end up becoming a good reference point for Ikorodu. This is why leaders must look beyond just providing basic support but having a longterm plans for the students in each LCDA’s to the best of their capacity” Senator Seye Ogunlewe
“A lot of students have little or no access to computers in this age where technology is the order of the day to foster growth and development in every sphere of life. If we want to enhance the academic performance of these students then we must also look into the areas of providing intellectual gadgets that would speed up their learning process”
“It Is A Major Challenge In Ikorodu Division, That We Do Not Have A Reflective Statistics Of The Professionals We’re Producing From Each LCDA’s. Our Leaders Must Take It Upon Themselves To Plan The Educational Structure Of Ikorodu Division Students, Follow Them To The End And Ensure Ikorodu Reap From Their Intellectual Capabilities”
