With aim to create adequate platforms for young talented youth across Nigeria in the area of sport (soccer in particular), the Special adviser to President muhammadu Buhari on youth matters, Hon Kurogha Felix on Wednesday the 17th of June 2021 disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has given the green like to project more opportunities for youths in Nigeria once again.
This initiative will be made realistic as the administration is set to secure world class deals with international football clubs for young aspiring footballers across the 36 States in Nigeria, in a well organised soccer talent hunt programme.
According to the statement from SSA to President Muhammed Buhari on youth matters, who spoke on behalf of the President said: “The scheme is initiated by 60 soccer goal company and will open doors for Professional Coaches from Europe and other parts of the world to grace the country and search for young boys and girls with football skills in Nigeria during the process”.
Though an official date has not been slated for the programme to commence, but report indicates that all hands are on deck in preparation to make the project a reality as it is meant to impact Nigeria youths and create more prospects out of it’s grassroot talents.
“The scheme will be kickoff is all the 36 States in FCT in order to give every youth equal chances to participate in the talent hunt and be discovered subsequently” Hon Kurogha Felix asserted
