At Adeboruwa Park on the 8th of July 2021, played host to important personalities as well as supporters and members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA as the party flagged off it’s official campaign for the oncoming local government elections.

Displaying pop, colour, glamour and elegance, the flag-off campaign reflected unity, harmony and strength amongst the inhabitants of the LCDA.

With the incumbent chairman, Bldr Sesan Daini Mayorkun overwhelmingly positioned as the frontrunner (and Mr Nuraini Okedina-Maja as Vice-Chairman), the campaign successfully harboured the ‘who is who of politics in Igbogbo baiyeku LCDA including supporters from other ethnicities across the region.

It was highlighted with the presentation of the APC flag by leaders to the Incumbent Chairman and his prospect councillors (Basirat Banjoko, Akeem Solawon, Nurudeen Alimi, MKO Arowolo, Anifowoshe Alapa) across wards, officially endorsing them to preside over the local council development area come July 24th.

Delivering his speech of support and confidence prior to the Flag presentation, the Lagos state vice chairman of the All progressive Congress (APC), Chief Asipa Kaoli reaffirms his trust in the leadership of Bldr Sesan Diani, admonishing the team to continue in their positive template to advance the growth and development of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA.

“Bldr Sesan Daini and his leadership team’s ability has been measured extensively in their efforts, strides and accomplishments to better igbogbo baiyeku LCDA, And it is not a secret that he has done well”

“This is why given him the second term approval will only foster more growth and prosperity for the good people of this land. I am confident of his performance and tenacity, that is why today we officially endorse him as chairman coming in for second term in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA” Asipa Kaoli Added

In his acceptance speech and remarks in gratitude, the incumbent chairman (Bldr Sesan Daini) appreciated leaders, his leadership team, Supporters and All progressive congress (APC) members in Igbogbo baiyeku LCDA, Assuring them of an unrelenting performance if elected as chairman for the second term.

“It is with the help of God, my team and also the cooperation of the good people in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA that we have been able to accomplish most of what we did for the communities in my first tenure. Yes, we still have much to do and we are going to open more doors for both state and federal relationships to fulfil infrastructural projects”

“Our focus still centres on upgrading more roads, ensuring effective security system is applied to curb every form of social vices and crimes in our communities, better educational projections and initiatives, enhancing our health schemes and providing adequate market structures to improve productivity”

“The mandate and responsibilities that has been given to me to represent Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA as Chairman would not be taken for granted and we’re positive that from the 25th of July 2021 to 25th of July 2025, The glory will be given to God for the progress made in Igbogbo Baiyeku” Bldr Sesan Daini Added

Other notable personalities present at the flag-off; Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe (former Minister of works), Olorufunmi Basorun (first secretary to the Lagos state government), Honorable Nurudeen Saka Solaja (representing Ikorodu constituency 2 at the Lagos state house of assembly), Hon Toyin Gafaar Bolowotaan (Director-General, Lagos State Sports Commission), Mayor Deen Sanwo-Ola (Director-General iCare Foundation), Biliamin Lekan Oba (Lagos State Chairman, National Youth Council Of Nigeria) amongst others.
