Tagged Youth engagement for global action, Ikorodu diamond lions club wrapped up its 3day youth empowerment program and receiving a positive review.
The training which started on the 24th of August and ran through the 26th saw vibrant youths been empowered in diverse areas to acquire varieties of skills to make ends meet.
The Club engaged youths for global action in-home care products i.e Soap making, Air freshener, Toilet wash, Izal, Sanitizer and Bleach. They were also trained on how to make fascinators for women use and gentle tie/makeup in 3 days of training.
64 youths benefited the first day of the training, the second day was overflow with 102 youths in attendance and the 110 youths completed the training and certificate were given to them each.
One of the facilitators Mrs Loveth Omoloyegbe expressed her happiness participating in the Lion activity as it will bring a lot of benefits to both youth and adult that participated. She encouraged them to put what they learnt into practice as there is a lot of benefits in the products. She encouraged Lions Club to empower some of them with materials to start as an entrepreneur.
The beneficiary representative Yusuf Suliat showed her appreciation to Lions Club International for this great opportunity given to them. Adding that they will make sure they start putting what they learnt into practice.
The Club President Lion Roseline Ogunlana in return thanked the facilitators and the beneficiaries for their endurance all through the 3-day training. She said this is one of the ways Lions Club reach the general public, and now promising to provide materials to empower some of the participants and monitor their progress.
