Lions Region 4 and Leos Region 2 in collaboration with Atlas Initiative ended their youth month vocational training on 3D Epoxy to empower young minds in Ikorodu division on the 27th of August 2021.

The program which empowered 72 youths on its first day also trained another 96 individuals on day 2, certifying a total of 168 youths in commemoration of the world youths day in Ikorodu division.

With plans to further assists participant in making good of the training program, the club also put in place a monitoring scheme to further empower them on enterprising the acquired skills.

“It’s been fantastic because some of the youths actually brought their colleagues whom were not informed about this program a day before to come on this final day. What we have done so far is engage youths, to keep them busy and enrich their hands in enterprising ventures” Lion Prince Adeyinka Andu NLCF (Former president igbogbo platinum lions club and GST coordinator for region 4)

“The attitude to serve is all about the mindset of an individual, Government alone cannot do everything, that is why we organise such programs to help our young minds, It is about bringing people together to impact their lives” Lion Prince Adeyinka Andu added

Lion Wole Ajidahun NLCF (region 4 service chairperson) “Youth empowerment is one of our core focus in our project calendar which we have been doing for several years now, we know that empowering the youths is bringing a solution to economic challenges. Making them self efficient and production will enhance their values and keep them in charge of their destiny”

“Just like what the facilitators said, 3D Epoxy has been in existence for some time but the market is gradually opening up in Nigeria, this is why we must orientate our youths on its the importance and grow the market base”

“We’re not just training them here, we will follow them up as a form of monitoring, in the case where we see participants who try to take these skills to the next level, we’ll support them to become very useful to the society”
