“I believe our great union is known virtually to most residents of Imota, Ikorodu division, the state and across the country. A body formed by group of intelligent and vibrant young men and women who believe in the philosophy that every individual is living for a purpose and an aspiration to pursue in life. Hence the need for individuals or group that will guide and nurture the young minds towards achieving their goals in life”

“It is in an effort towards contributing to the academics upliftment of students and youths in Imota LCDA, its environs, and the general wellbeing of the people that prompted a program tagged; Imota Students’ Union annual week (ISU Week) of which today marks another edition of its grand finale for students, youths and the general residents of the town”

“In a bid to institutionalize this year program, the theme ”The New Normal” came into play as its focused on three main areas, i.e. Education, Entrepreneurship and Technology. The aftermath of COVID 19 showed numerous facts and ways to human survival has it brought countless and diverse operating systems to humans living of which technology and entrepreneurship centred on the heart of the development of ‘’The New Normal.’

“The grand finale aims to unveil to us The New Normal to human survival, operation and living; a theme which will be made justice to through our keynote speaker and session of discussion with our panellists

To flashback to our programs slated for this year union week of which one was Imota students’ union fitness walk, the first of its kind in the history of the union and the town showed to us the new normal of post-covid-19 through fitness has students, young adult and adults, have little or no time when it comes to body fitness of which thus is eagerly needed during the Covid-19 era to fight the virus

“The other segments program of the year is the day 5 vocational training. Statistically, it is known that a high number of students and youths in Imota and across the nation ever develop an interest to learn one vocational skill or the other. The relevancy of entrepreneurship skills is very important to the survival of humanity at some era as many youths who could get a job through their degree and learn on the vocational skill, engaged in  the unskilled labour to survive as the unfavourable economic condition of the  nation at large frustrated may youth hereby contributed to the decadence in  education, the standard of living, high rate of unemployment, hooliganism, thuggery, cultism and other social vices, let’s not forget that an idle hand is the devil workshop”
