The Lions Club International District 404A1, Nigeria held another extraordinary version of it’s annual Peace Poster tournament final on Friday 26th November, 2021 at Nike Art Gallery, No. 2 Oba Elegushi Road, Lekki, Lagos.

For three decades, Lions club around the planet amasses financing outstanding art tournaments between children of age 11-13 years. With different themes to pertain to the substantiality of the event. This year Themed: “We are all connected”

Building the peace posters bestows youngsters throughout the world as it is held to assert their enormous conceptions for peace and stimulate the world through art and ideation.

Twenty eight (28) schools were funded by numerous Lions Club across the district to partake in the Lions Club International Peace Poster completion finale for District 404A1.

The children’s artworks occurred keenly assessed by the proprietor of Nike Art Gallery Chief Mrs Nike Okundaye. Also, the panel of judges comprises some of the International award-winning Nigerian artists, Mr Ayoola Omovo, Mr Abiodun Badejo, Mr Smart Osiegbu, Mr Oladipupo Adesina. Having performed the necessary inspection with best international practice, three (3) outstanding winners were assigned.

The Best Three Outstanding Peace Posters Winners: 1st Position, Roseville College Meiran, Ikorodu with piece by 10years old Mosope Ajiboye 10years Sponsored by Ikorodu Metropolitan Lions Club

2nd position was 11years old Vivian Temiloluwa Bankole from Fowler Memorial College Sponsored by Lekki Admiralty Lions Club

Oluwatemilehin Sadiq-Abu (13years old) took 3rd position from Green Springs School, Sponsored by Lekki Admiralty Lions Club. The best three winners will be infiltrated for the MD 404 Nigeria (National) Final competition.

FVDG Lion Ano Anyanwu PMJF, NLCF, represented District Governor Lion Fortune Wagbatsoma MJF, NLCF, who was accompanied by PCC AVM Anthony Okpere PMJF, NLCF (rtd), Lion Benjamin Adewunmi and various units of the Lions Club International and guests.

The leadership and staff of the Nike Art Gallery openly admired the District and the Lions Club International for the amazing relief given to the children to affirm their creativity and God conveyed abilities through arts. The District was charged to facilitate all the participants without relenting on expanding on their skills.

The Chairperson of this year competition Lion Mary Onu PMJF, NLCF also appreciated all clubs that promoted different competitors for efforts in developing platforms for children to assert their prowess in the artwork.
