Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, on her continuous support for education. The praises come as the executive chairman launched an academic initiative tagged 'back to school', which involves the distribution of free school materials to students within her jurisdiction. Set in motion on the 25th of September 2023, 3 schools, including Anglican Primary School, Anwar Ul Islam Primary, and Egbin Kingdom Primary School in Ijede all took front-row seats as Hon Motunrayo distributed free books plus uniforms for students at the start of another educational calendar. Leading the scheme, chaperoned by the council's education department, Hon. Motunrayo took the early hours of the day to meet up with the children during their normal assembly duration before the start of school activities. According to the chairman, The provision of free books and uniforms is meant to encourage the pupils to stay focused on their studies. She explains, "We want them to know that success can be attained no matter their level, rich or poor regardless". "Presently, we're doing a lot to enhance education in Ijede LCDA, but that does not prevent us from making the children's back to school a special one". "I am certain, this kind gesture by the council will equally put a smile on their parent's faces when they return home" the chairman asserted Obateru of Egbin Kingdom, HRM, Oba Adeoriyomi Oyebo, who attended the allocation program at the Egbin Kingdom primary school praised the council boss for her supportive initiative towards students in the community. Urging the chairman to stay fervent in her good deeds, Oba Adeoriyomi explained that investing in the leaders of tomorrow is a priceless endeavor. "She's always steadfast when it comes to supporting education in Ijede LCDA, and I want to commend her for being a force to reckon with on all fronts". "As you can see, the children are all excited to benefit from this course, it is something they'll not forget in a hurry" Oba Adeoriyomi added The distribution is billed to reach all primary public schools in the local council development area.

The project was commissioned on Friday the 22nd of September 2023 by Chief Asipa Kaoli Olusanya and presided over by the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr. Olusesan Daini. Receiving a high level of commendation from the school administration, Princess Basirat, the councillor of ward C1 and Deputy leader of Igbogbo Baiyeku legislative chamber, appreciated the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for a timeless mentorship. She also acknowledged Ikorodu apex leader, Asipa Kaoli, and her council boss, Bldr. Sesan Daini for leading the pack effectively, providing her with a palatable room to function. Furthermore, she commended the Methodist primary school administration for cooperating with her towards the successful completion of the project. According to Princess Basirat, the sole aim of the project is to help students by providing them with a better learning environment. The program, themed; 'Maintaining A Clean Environment', she explained that the school is observing overpopulation, which causes inconveniences for pupils. "It was due to those inconveniences that spurred me to get to work on facilitating the extra classrooms as a form of service to humanity," she said. Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Princess Basirat illustrated that the school also lacked access to clean water which prompted her (as councillor of the ward) to provide the tank, stand and fetching point. Urging the school administration to apply maintenance culture in preserving the resources, Princess pleads with everyone to imbibe the heart of giving. The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeki LCDA, Bldr. Sesan Daini, in his address dubbed the day celebratory, equally applauding the project facilitator, Princess Basirat Banjoko. Emphasising performance, Bldr Daini expressed his satisfaction towards all councillors in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA working and making things better in their numerous wards. Bringing his attention to Methodist Primary School, he said, "Seeing this project is a challenge to me!". "As I've promised, Methodist Primary School building renovation with fully equipped furniture, and building of 8 toilets which will be commissioned in the next 50 days" Bldr Daini said. The council boss asserted the party's developmental mandate for communities will continue to reflect in his administration as voiced during his campaign. Before commissioning the project, Chief Kaoli Olusanya praised Princess Basirat Adetutu for prioritising education, explaining that education is the first way to escape poverty. He further encouraged the administrators of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA not to relent in fulfilling their mandate because it is a way of giving hope to the people. Mrs. Ogunfeyimi, HeadMistress of Methodist Primary School Igbogbo praised the council chairman, Bldr. Daini and all other leaders in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA for their consistent support towards education. Pointing out that Bldr. Daini's administration has not for once left the education sector, she encourages the leadership to keep propelling and investing in the life of the future generation around the communities. DAINI CONTINUE DISTRIBUTION OF ACADEMIC ITEMS ®™√ INN Nigeria © 83i3j3nn2952382437258435431 The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr Sesan Daini continues to provide educational material to schools under his jurisdiction. Day 2 of his academic support quest saw 7 primary schools; Methodist Primary School Ibeshe, Elepe Methodist Primary School 1, Elepe Methodist Primary School 2, Salvation Army Agunfoye, Local Government Primary School Baiyeku, Local Government Primary School Igbe, and Owode Ibeshe Primary School Ibelefun gained from his program. So far, 10 out of the 13 primary schools in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA have benefited. During his distribution, Bldr Sesan Daini highlighted that sharing academic materials is part of the council's constitutional responsibility. He encouraged the pupils to respect their parents, explaining that they are the reason he's given the privilege to serve, asserting that the pupils should grow to become useful to the community. In a brief interview with Ikorodu News Network (INN), Bldr. Daini underscored how the council was able to touch 7 schools on Day 2. He explained that the donation is a form of palliative to reach out across all the 13 primary schools in the Local Council Development Area. Furthermore, the chairman stated that another key benefit of the exercise is for the council to visit all the primary schools and identify their needs which he plans to provide solutions to. Bldr. Daini depicted that some promises have been made to some schools in terms of renovation of buildings, construction of toilets, fencing etc., adding that the council would review all projects after the distribution of school items ends. In response, Teachers of Elepe Methodist Primary School, prayed for the council boss over his commitment to the discomfort of the toilet in the school, thinking highly of his show of concern. Also, the Head Teacher Of the Salvation Army Agunfoye praised the Chairman for his concern towards renovating the classrooms and toilets in the school. In all, the Head Teachers commended Bldr. Daini for the educational materials donated to their respective schools, asserting that the project came right on time to aid the students.

OVER 6,000 VULNERABLE CONSTITUENTS IN LAGOS EAST SENATORIAL DISTRICT RECEIVE SENATOR TOKUNBO ABIRU FOOD PACKS ®™√ INN Nigeria © img 20230930 wa00101453984853185735953 The Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA on Saturday distributed over 6,000 Food Packs to vulnerable members of the society in the Lagos East Senatorial District. It will be recalled that the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District launched the quarterly Food Packs Programme in June 2023. This is the second edition of the well applauded programme targeted at vulnerable people, namely; widows, unemployed youth, aged, women and People living with disabilities are drawn across the 98 wards in the 16 Local Government Areas and Local Council Development areas of the district. Constituents trooped out en masse to various collections in Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Somolu and Kosofe LGAs to collect the Food Packs containing:Goldenvita, Semo Vita, Garri, Pure Soya Oil, Spread(Butter), Granulated Sugar, Pasta Couscous, Pasta Macaroni, Pasta Spaghetti, Noodles Jollof, Noodles GMPS and Amazing Day Breakfast Cereal. In his remarks, Senator Abiru, fondly called the #DoingGood Senator, said the food packs programme was a direct intervention for the people at the grassroot who are feeling the heat of the economic pangs occasioned by the removal of petroleum subsidy. According to him, the Food Packs will support the most vulnerable households in this challenging period. The Senator also assured that he will not relent in championing legislations, programmes and interventions that will have lasting impacts on the larger number of the constituents of Lagos East. He said SAIL Innovation Lab, the first of its kind Innovation Lab in Lagos East, founded by him and his wife, Feyisola was set up to offer sustainable and globally competitive jobs and opportunities to young people of the district. Senator Abiru said a sizable number of youths had been trained in digital and tech-related programmes that are well sought-after globally. On the critical Ikorodu-Itokin road which serves as a major road that links the Ikorodu to Epe and Ibeju-Lekki, and other parts of the country, he assured that the new government of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown commitment to implement the awarded rehabilitation project. It is imperative to state that this is not the first direct humanitarian assistance for the needy that the distinguished Senator Abiru has done. It will be recalled that the Lagos East Senator disbursed more than N150 million Naira in about 24 months to over 2,500 vulnerable people under his COVID-19 Financial Relief Scheme. Every month, beneficiaries received direct credit of N5,000 each for the period the programme lasted. Some of the beneficiaries who expressed gratitude to Senator Abiru include; Muftau Adegboyega Tojuowo, a Person Living with a Disability, other include, Anuoluwapo Zainab, Tiletile Kazeem Idowu, Folake Akerele and Niyi Oyeniran.
