Ahead of 2023 General election, one of the frontline Support Organisations campaigning for Tinubu Presidency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (ABAT) officially inducted her LGA/Wards Exco in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA led by Mr. David Olusayo Alagbe on Friday 7th of January 2022.

The Swearing-in ceremony held at the Homat Event Centre had in attendance prolific LGA and Ward Executive Committees (EXCOs) mandated to take the gospel of 2023 Tinubu for President to the nooks and crannies of Igbogbo-baiyeku LCDA.

In a brief welcome address, the LGA Coordinator, Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Mr. David Alagbe congratulated all the newly sworn-in Executive Committees at ward & LGA levels, reminding all that ABAT as a political support group is not a platform to advance caucus or political group interest within the LCDA but a wide unifying force tactically designed to galvanize, canvass massive supports for APC Presidential Hopeful, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the polls at both primary & general elections.

“Our mandate is to mobilize and promote the Presidential ambition of a former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu through continuous political consultation, mobilization and civic grassroots engagement.

“This we must do by burying our individual and group interests, & stay focused on the main goal.” Alagbe said.

The Slogan of the group according to the Publicity Secretary of ABAT, Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Niyi’Soyebo is ‘ABAT Movement…Tinubu For President, Tinubu For President…ABAT Movement’ emphasizing that Tinubu Presidency in 2023 is ‘no-going-back’, now is the time to reward a rare commitment to progressive politics, unity, & prosperity of Nigeria.

img 20230818 wa00227E21243565591398777991 Ikorodu Local Government Chairman has confirmed the provision of free BRT tickets for council staff to be implemented soon. In his continuous bid to lessen the fallouts of the fuel subsidy removal, Hon. Wasiu Adesina made his intent public on the 17th of August 2023. The new initiative is meant to be activated soon to aid council staff with more helpful means of mobilising themselves to work and back home. In a nutshell, the move is aimed at easing the financial burden on employees and promoting sustainable transportation. When activated, council staff will now obtain free BRT tickets for their daily commute. The chairman made this known on the same day he delivered 3,200 food packages to residents of Ikorodu via the council's food bank for the relief of the subsidy removal program. Adesina, who's largely praised for his numerous laudable projects and support scheme is currently commemorating his 2years in office.

e92ij3n37E28837950169131465372 Mr Pretty Okafor, President of the Performing Musicians Employers Association Of Nigeria (PMAN), has called on Artists across the nation to join forces with the redefined body to propel the entertainment sector. Mr Okafor disclosed the information at a meeting held at the association's National Headquarters in Lagos on Friday the 14th of July 2023, while receiving a group of musicians and a management company from Kogi State in Nigeria. According to Mr Okafor, the Nigeria entertainment industry is fast becoming the biggest in the world and PMAN is at the forefront of it. Explaining that every aspiring artist wants to come and learn about Afrobeats presently, he said that PMAN as a body is ready to build a synergy of support for young artists in areas of distribution of content, pension plans, legal issues concession, and digital assistance. He continued, "We plan to as well aid with international touring, and artists questing for work permits overseas". "PMAN is prepared to support striving musicians in Nigeria on tracts of affordable homes, and creation of directional platforms, which we have commenced in Abuja". "What most artists don't know is that they can't do a lot without PMAN, but I believe now, they will learn to comprehend us better". "We're the only association that the government listens to because we're governance inclined," he said. Affirming that the Nigerian music sector is going global, he corroborated the need for all artists to identify with PMAN, for them to access the performance entitlements they deserve. Jumabee explains, "With this present PMAN, we have a platform for all artists to plug in and excel both individually and collectively". "On registering to get involved, there is a lot of work to be done, we'll try to get all our artists to sign up, we will do rigorous outreach to set the ball rolling, and we will try our best to talk about the new PMAN at our respective jurisdictions". "In preaching the gospel about this new PMAN, my team will embark on an entertainment-oriented monthly conference, set to enlighten our people on how to get involved actively in the process, and give artists access to register at our expense". "We shall organise this program in Kogi, Benue and Jos axis of Nigeria because a lot of artists are ready to know and enlists themselves, but unfortunately, they are not well informed". "Let me assure this present leadership that we'll play our part to make this new PMAN a success" Jumabee asserted Commending the group for coming from Kogi state to visit the association's National Headquarters in Lagos, the body's 1st vice president, Mr Sunny Neji explained that the present executives have worked hard to lay a solid foundation for the body, adding that the collective efforts of the body are solely to aid other artists to scale higher. "The era of a cabal running PMAN is far behind us, and now all hands must be on deck to unify to give this association the strong identity it deserves". "Progressing forward, we're ready to bridge the gap for performing artists in Nigeria because the new PMAN is not for personal interests," Sunny Neji said. Also, the 2nd Vice President of the body, Zaaki Azzay, thanked the group for visiting the association, explaining that in recent times, it took the body over 9yrs reshape its identity. "Getting to this point is a struggle, with one aim to put the interest of Nigerian artists at heart". "Just like the president said, our projection now is to work together and synergy with all our artists to propel our industry to greater heights globally". "PMAN is the organization that every artist in Nigeria must identify with, because we provide exposure and connections, at home and abroad" Zaaki asserted. The President furthermore, used the medium to call on all musicians in Nigeria to register with PMAN through its registration portal on https://pman.ng/ The entire group of entertainers were subsequently taken to register, coordinated by the association's general secretary, Aita Bonny 'Itodo'.
