Themed ‘Budget Of New Beginning’, the Executive Chairman, Ikorodu local government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina has steered the legislative arm, management and heads of department to Admos hotel, Imota for the year 2022 budget retreat

The retreat drill which sagged of on the 20th of January 2022, enabled comprehensive considerations and deliberations by council staff, intended for implementing the dividend of democracy to the people of Ikorodu local government

Simultaneously, commending the efforts of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu (executive Governor of Lagos State) in the expanses of infrastructural growth and the interest of residents, Wasiu Adesina impelled his council staffs across arms not to relent in their productive approach to ascertaining results, but rather intensify and attain more success in unity for Ikorodu local government

He further applauded everyone present for their inexhaustible devotion and backing since conception of his administration, assuring an extra tenacious drive to deliver more bounty of good governance to the people

“Reproducing on our progressive commonwealth, this budget retreat is stationed to plough further considerably into our criteria of conveying the premia of democracy to the respectable people of Ikorodu local government”

“It is an avenue to design our budget, effectively bestowing cottage to experience mediators and instructors to enlarge our knowledge and breadth on management trails in this administration”

At the high point of the retreat, a renowned Consultant and retired Director from Lagos State Government Service, Rev. Dr Olushoga Badejo anchored the oasis enhance technique to blend budget human capital performances.

Rev. Badejo touted the ability and efforts of the Chairman in reconciling and the alliance of all offices, management and members present effectively amidst the Chairman’s numerous extraordinary attainments since his foyer of office.

Rev. Badejo in his lecture, further underscored all that makes up a budget, the procedures, evaluation strategies and directions to boost earnings.

Post retreat session, on the facet of ushering in new heads on both revenue and parking department in the local government, Hon Wasiu Adesina states, “the outgoing revenue chairman has spent 4 years on the job, it is certainly necessary for us to bring in new aptitude and unleash new approach to get better results“

“Mr Oretoye Oluwakemi Zaccheaus Jp (new revenue chairman) is a seasoned expert who has been serving diligently and we believe he’s going to perform more than his predecessor”

“On the other hand, Mr Kehinde Ayanbadejo (new parking chairman) is an experience stakeholder, who posses his own proposal on how to modify the parking aspect of Ikorodu local government, that’s why we’ve beget his appointed to create room for extra improvement in that sector”

“Going forward this year, Ikorodu LG is set to take ownership of the ita-elewa open space, reconstruction of Salvation Army, solomade street, Arowolo street in Itupate, Agura/ Gberigbe road (despite the fact that it’s a state road) palliative measures would be finalized”

“Mowonla road, Dada street, Itun- domiganran road, 3 boreholes in WardA2, asphalt/ resurfacing in Pashoku, Ita-elewa, Itumoja, Kokoro Abu, Improving the standard of Agura PHC, Landscaping of the Local Government secretariat, Official automobiles for chieftains amongst other 2022 projects” Wasiu Adesina asserted
