The District Governor, International Association of Lion’s Clubs District 404A1 Lion Fortune Wagbatsoma has lauded Lion’s Club Presidents for their loyalty and steadfastness in achieving excellence in District 404A1.

She praised them for keeping the house order, adding that club Presidents plays a pivotal role in achieving the mandates of Lions Club, she described them as the grassroots of the district “l am very proud of you all, thank you for your peaceful coordination which we I’ve enjoyed and still enjoying as a district DG” Wagbatsoma added

Speaking at the Strategic Breakfast Meeting at E- Classico Hotel, Benin City which is part of the lined up activities for the 3rd cabinet meeting, DG Wagbatsoma noted that the purpose of the meeting is to brainstorm on how to solve challenging issues affecting clubs and for leaders to strategies the way forward

On Membership drive, DG Wagbatsoma charges Club Presidents to be committed to winning more quality members to the clubs adding that dropping members from clubs as a result of their inability to pay their dues or deliberate neglect of what makes one a Lion requires replacement with quality members for effective service delivery, as she emphasised the importance of quality membership drive

While admonishing Club Presidents and Members to take training very seriously, she said every region has a facilitator, hence is important for all Club Presidents, other Club Members to develop themselves not only for personal growth but also for the good of Lions Clubs

“Honourary Membership are activists of the club, no one is excluded from paying club dues, even as a District Governor, I pay my dues to my club”

Club Presidents were admonished on timely reportage on clubs Membership MMR as well as the needs for a strategic approach in strengthening their various clubs, the issues of guiding Lions, emphasis on couples and family Club Membership and other related issues towards the advancement of the clubs

The dedicated team behind the event has already secured a significant quantity of essential supplies, including one thousand bags of Garri, 30 thousand bags of soaps, 24 thousand printed exercise books, 10 thousand buckets, 10 thousand bags of salt, 10 thousand bags of sugar, and two solid generators, one of which is a 350kVA powerhouse. In addition to these tangible resources, Pastor Matthew emphasized the importance of collaboration and spiritual guidance. The crusade team has convened with 320 pastors on the ground to ensure the event's effectiveness, highlighting the spirit of unity and purpose.
