At the just-concluded public hearings orchestrated by the legislative arm in Ikorodu North LCDA to amend existing bye-laws and propose project implementations, it was obvious to connote the feeling of satisfaction and commendations extended by stakeholders towards the chairman of the council
Bldr Adeola Adebisi Banjo (chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA) who recently constructed an Anti-Cultism, Anti-Kidnaping CP strike team security building which was commissioned by Mr Hakeem Odumosu (former Lagos Police Commissioner), gained additional encomium from community leaders at the public hearing for moving ahead to deliver lasting road network solution to Agbede community, affirming the construction of a link bridge from Agbede to odogunyan axis
Town planner Yemi Johnson (chairman, Agbede joint CDA) who also doubled as coordinator of the link bridge project, lauded the council boss for his performance post returning to office and the monetary significance of the link bridge scheme
“We must give kudos to the chairman, vice-chairman and councillors of the LCDA because this trajectory is first of its kind, as a coordinator of the link bridge project in my community, I have carefully followed the process and observed how swift this administration is working towards enforcing this mission for the good people of Ikorodu North LCDA”
“I can say that the chairman has done more than my expectation, realising that performing this project will enhance revenue generation, drastically reduce the traffic jam we normally experience on the road and securing of lives and properties, thereby boosting commercial activities”
“Also note that by implementing this project, people will not default in paying their dues to the government, this is why I want to urge everyone involve to ensure that as earlier discussed, this undertaking should be done without any hindrance” Ogunleye Yemi Johnson added
Prophet Adegoke Peter, a clergyman who lives close to the bridge section urged residents to always meet up with the council’s demand for the project to be hastened
He continued, “The link bridge is meant to alleviate the challenges people around that axis go through as they work to make ends meet. Listening closely you could hear someone saying he’s lost two vehicles to that road and now using a motorcycle, it simply means executing that project is a major relief to a lot of residents”
“And when you structure out a link bridge of that magnitude, maintenance is also key for it to be sustained, that is why the toll fee is the right step for the council to apply to stay consistent”
Adeniron Ogunbanwo (CDC Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA) asserted that the council is taking a notch at favourable direction to aid the people
“I am truly impressed and wish to congratulate the chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA for creating rooms for innovations”
“Development all over the world is about private partnerships, and the stance Bldr Banjo is presently projecting will bring a lot of growth to this region of ours” Prince Adeniron Ogunbanwo added
