To further generate more enhanced growth and development to Ikorodu local government, the Executive Chairman of the council, Hon Wasiu Adesina presented its 2022 budget to the legislative arm of his leadership on the 10th of February at the secretariat.
Labelled ‘Budget Of New Beginning’, the reserve is deposited towards accomplishing unique structures, adequate planning and enactment of its corporal programs for Ikorodu local government.
The 2022 budget received by Leader of the House, Hon. Adebowale Adebola is enunciated to improve Education, Infrastructural development, road rehabilitation, Youth activity Centre, staff salaries amongst other social service expenditures, ascertained to steer and police the administration in attaining successful models.
With the expectation to obtain a total of N420,147,459.55 as Federal Statutory Allocation for the year, the council boss in his remarks noted that the Value Added Tax (VAT) is foreseen to be N1,232,862,162.18, casted Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) at N105,000,000; State Coordinated Revenue is bulged to be N25,000,000 with a loan of N170,056,228.07 respectively
The chairman continued, “On expenses, personnel cost for staff is put at N384,594,402.50; personnel cost (Teachers salary) is put at N395,127,475.81, while statutory rebates stand at N116, 259, 474.15. Overhead got N485,050,524.03; Social Services Projection is put at N14,000,000, while Non-Current Asset is put at N554,033,973.31”
“After much review and deliberations upon expenditures of the council, the total of One Billion, Nine Hundred and Forty-Nine Million, Sixty Five Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty-Nine Naira, Eighty kobos (N1,949,065,849.80) was hereby concluded for passage into Law”
“We appreciate all our political leaders and ranking members, community leaders, market leaders, corporate associates, ethnic supporters, management and staff for their support over the years despite the pandemic period experienced throughout the country which resulted to the decline in our economy”

The leader of the house (Hon Adebola Adebowale) in his response praised the favourable function, endurance, benevolence and achievements of the Chairman since returning to the office and guaranteed him legislative backings
