DG WAGBATSOMA HAILS IKORODU DIAMOND LIONS CLUB, COMMISSION CLUB’S TOILET PROJECT AT JAMA’ATUL ISLAMIYAH SCHOOL ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

The project, commissioned on the 24th of February 2022, by the District Governor (Lion Fortune Wagbatsoma) for District 404A1, received a lot of commendations and encomium for promoting education and building a conducive learning environment at the grassroots Identified for organising adult teaching endeavours, the program also saw Ikorodu diamond lions club, presenting graduating adult individuals (Eniola Adewale, Adewusi Taiwo, Andrew Oluwakemi and Tunde Hameed) with certificates for fulfilling literacy as determined by delegates from the Lagos State agency of Mass education
Mrs Oladunjoye (from mass education) credited the club for facilitating the adult programme, giving hope to the lost.
"Understanding how to read and write is liberation from lack of knowledge, a lot of people are out there who cannot read or write and are cut out from literal engagement due to that inability"
"What Ikorodu diamond lions club has done is open new doors of learning to elderly people, proposing opportunities for them to become pertinent in the society"
"Nigeria will be a better place if we have more intellectual individuals in the society, that is why I want to urge other Lions club in Ikorodu to follow the precedents of Ikorodu diamond lions club, and together we shall produce more wisdom based community" Mrs Oladunjoye asserted
Before the toilet commissioning, the district governor (Lion Fortune Wagbatsoma) praised Lion Roseline Ogunlana for executing the toilet project at a record duration, complimenting the phrase, "what a man can do, a woman can do better"
"When we do things like this for people's children, we're sowing seed for our grand and great-grandchildren in the future"
"This project heals my heart and also for the adults individuals, traffic workers and public servant been recognised today, it all shows we have something in common, which is service to humanity" Lion Fortune Wagbatsoma enlarged
In her remarks, the President of Ikorodu diamond lions club summarised, "This project is a testament to the collective determination and passion to serve. We're happy to have our amiable district governor here, to help us commission this toilet project"
"We pray that God will continue to give us the strength to do more for our communities because that's the true essence of being a Lion" Lion Roseline Ogunlana noted
Mrs Akande Helen Olajumoke (Head Teacher) also thanked the club for always standing in the gap for the school in diverse areas
"Not just toilet project alone, this club has given our children uniforms and helped us in other ways, we cannot help but to say thank you to the entire members of Ikorodu diamond lions club for always making themselves available to support this school" Mrs Olajumoke added
The club subsequently honoured Prince Segun Obayendo (CEO, Lagos state computerised vehicle inspection Service (LACVIS), received by Lion Oladimeji Isola, federal road safety corps official (Mr Olawale Kareem) and Awoyemi Jimmy of the Lagos state Traffic management authority (LASTMA) with a special appreciation award presented by the DG and the service chairperson for district 4 (Lion Gahun Wole)
