Ikorodu metropolitan lions club president, Lion Babatunde Shobowale, past presidents, Lion Adefunke Oluranti Esan, Lion Ahmed Ajayi and the club’s service chairperson (Lion Oredipe Tunji) were among the plethora of luminaries that received District governor (Lion Fortune Wagbatsoma) as the club achieved another milestone project on the 25th of February 2022
The ceremony was staged at Ibeshe health centre where the club performed the construction ofa waiting shed for patients anticipating medical attention at the nature facility, thus keeping them in a good lingering climate
With stakeholders in the community and delegates from the health ministry also in attendance, the core project of Ikorodu metropolitan lions club was commissioned by an overly excited district governor, who lauded the club for once again easing the stress of nursing and expecting mothers
An exhilarated DG exclaimed, “Everything the club does is to the glory of God and service to humanity. We will not stop and we’ll never quit meeting the needs of every community we dwell in“
“The pain of a mother cannot be overemphasised, that’s why a project like this speaks volumes to people like us that knows what it means to go through antenatal, child labour, delivery and constant check-up for recovery“
“Ikorodu metropolitan lions club is known as one of the most formidable club in this region, I want to congratulate the leadership of this great unit for making an impact in Ibeshe community” DG Wagbatsoma augmented
Prince Adegboyega Mayowa from the world health committee in Ibeshe extended his heartfelt gratitude to the club, affirming his intention to become a member of the service-based unit
“I was here the day members of the club came and announced their intention of constructing this waiting shed, I thought it would take forever to get it done, but to my utmost surprise it was completed in a very short period”
“The club teaches people the significance of becoming an investor in humanity, it helps people to understand that our greatest enterprise is to make the world a better place for others”
“I am pleased listening to Lion Ahmed say that age is not a barrier to become a member, because I am immediately intending to become a partner of this great club” Prince Adegboyega Mayowa admitted
Mrs Ogundeji Saidat (Administrator in Ibeshe health Centre) attested to the club’s contribution to the community every year
“They come and organise medical awareness procedures frequently plus other freely sponsored programs here”
“This waiting shed is simply cementing the numerous accomplishment of the club and on behalf of my humble self and our entire health personnel in Ibeshe land we express our gratitude to Ikorodu metro lions club for all they do” Mrs Ogundeji Saidat amplified
Lion Babatunde Shobowale on behalf of the club expressed gratitude to the district governor for accepting the singular honour to commission the health centre project, as the club subsequently presented the DG with an honorary portrait picture frame
Also in attendance were Mrs Akinshiku and Dr Dapo Ojo, both from the medical department, igbogbo baiyeku LCDA
