From Ipakodo, Sabo, Baiyeku, Ibeshe to Mowokekere, Lion Fortune Wagbatsoma, who ensued as the District Governor for the 2021/2022 Lions year has urged Lions club in Ikorodu division to gain more grounds and increase implementation of core projects across the region during her assignment visit
The DG, who had served on the team of the immediate past District Governor as the 1st Vice District Governor and over time has served humanity in different capacities while a member of the club before emerging as District Governor, gave this statement to Ikorodu News Network (INN) post project commissioning across Ikorodu division on the 24th and 25th of February 2022.
Impressed at the numerous projects executed by the Lions unit in the waterbed region, she stated that Lions should always be inclined to serve because it strengthens Lion’s Club in Nigeria and the world at large.
According to her, “The club, focus on enhancing Bonds Of Kindness, can also increase considerable acknowledgment within the communities it serves by building alliances with local development groups, enterprises, state and local governments, cultural and social associations among many others.
“With what the clubs in Ikorodu has been able to accomplish, we have an enormous opportunity before us to conduct more need assessments by working with active health and lifestyle groups in our communities”
“Clubs can equally sign up partnerships with national and global NGOs and draw attention to specific needs within the communities because these clubs are blessed with individuals of diverse skills, cultural orientations and intellectual capacities”
“With goals to improving members satisfaction through a team direction to new club development, member recruitment, retention, global service causes and leadership development; weak clubs will be supported through a well-defined sustainability plan and better community engagement and Investing in building a stronger brand” DG Wagbatsoma Asserted
