Ikorodu division stood still as the six Local Government and Local Councilor Development Area in the company of the entire Ikorodu division stakeholders received the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu on a working visit in the company of his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, and cabinet members.
The Executive Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina on behalf of the six LG/LCDA Chairmen officially welcomed the Executive Governor and his team with so much gratitude. The GAC members in Ikorodu Division, former Deputy Governor Prince Abiodun Ogunleye and the first secretary to the Civilian government in Lagos State, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun commended the outstanding performance of the Executive Governor.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, Ayangburen of Ikorodu in the same vein chanted praises of the Executive Governor, on behalf of all the kings and good people of Ikorodu Division. The king didn’t fail to categorically state the desire and readiness of Ikorodu Division to support and vote for Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu for a second term in office.
The elated Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu used the working visit as a platform for the account of stewardship as his outstanding projects across division were electronically projected for all to see, and the crowd were awed.
Similarly, Seventy-two families in Igbogbo Kingdom whose properties were demolished for the ongoing construction of Bola Ahmed Tinubu road were called for the collection of their compensations.
The Executive Governor also assured speedy completion of all the State’s projects that are on going in Ikorodu Division and commencement of Gberigbe road construction before next week Monday.
He at the same time highlighted several other Lagos State Government projects that will be commenced soon in Ikorodu Division, which includes Igbogbo-Baiyeku road.
