A unique highlight of December 2022 was the changing of the guard in the leadership of Ikorodu division resource development group (IDRDG), an initiative known to stimulate and propagate different empowerment agendas across Ikorodu division
Initially headed by former Chairman, Lagos state local government service commission, Alhaji Babatunde Tajudeen Rontinwa, the group is presently spearheaded by former Minister Of works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe sitting as its chairman
Although the assignment of the immediate past chairman has elapsed, Alhaji Rotinwa brought to light a legacy project which was executed by the group under his administration on the 8th of January 2022
A 12unit toilet system was commissioned by Alhaji Babatunde Rotinwa at Ikorodu ultra-modern town hall, projected to add more value and standard to the landmark edifice in Ikorodu division
Sectioned for both males and females, the new toilet facility is a state of the art restroom uniquely designed to meet the taste of stakeholders as well as eminent personalities visiting the event built structure
According to Alhaji Rotinwa, Alot of people had no idea the facility is currently up and running, it only became obvious during the launching of Ikorodu division peace initiative ceremony, which brought the attention of Ikorodu’s finest to the newly structured easing point
Alhaji Rotinwa Continued, “When guests who attended the event were directed to the new toilet system, they were very surprised but also excited to notice that our ultra-modern town hall now has an additional restroom to reduce the congestion of the old section”
“The difference is, the former system can now be segmented for regular users, while the new one is specially maintained for VIPs. We believe by executing that project, it will help to increase the value and standard of our services”
“My tenure was very challenging due to the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, but I must say that all things have been equal, as part of all the projects we were able to accomplish, signing out with this modern restroom will keep my administration in the tale over time” Alhaji Rotinwa asserted
