STAFF ORIENTATION: INDUCTEES CHARGED TO HAVE A POSITIVE GROWTH MINDSET ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

77776tghi8370053946197333534 In line with the Ikorodu General Hospital Management's quest to drive human capacity and create awareness of its hospitality culture and brand; the management of General Hospital Ikorodu on Thursday, 17th March 2022 organised an orientation and induction programme for newly employed personnel recruited by the Lagos State Health Service Commission. This year's theme titled I STAND TALL was attended by different categories of staff which include consultants, medical officers, pharmacists, nurses, technicians, health attendants, optometrists and other cadres absorbed into the service - GH Ikorodu between October 2021 till date. Also not left out in the training and induction were the 26 House Officers who all enjoyed the program The programme which was held at His Glory Waiting Area of General Hospital Ikorodu featured various sessions including an introduction to the public service rules covering recruitment, confirmation, resignation, leave, other career enhancing knowledge and procedures. Other topics covered included the tenets of Service Charter, Introduction of the EMR(Electronic Medical Records)
The Medical Director/CEO, Dr Taiwo Hassan admonished staff to be professional in the discharge of their duties. He also urged all inductees to shun corrupt tendencies that are capable of dragging the name of the hospital into disrepute. Dr Hassan charged them to always be friendly with patients and warned them against habits and acts that can be detrimental to the image of the hospital.
Other top management staff that gave goodwill messages and advised all newly recruited/ newly posted staff were the Deputy Medical Director- Dr Femi Aletan, Head of Admin & HR. Miss Sekinat Sarumi and Head of Service Charter, Pharm. Catherine Martins. The external resource persons were Mr A.A. Alabi who spoke on Owning the hospital and its importance to the vision of the hospital while Mrs Oyekemi Bawa-Allah took participants on a journey of mindfulness and how to be self-aware for productivity in line with the theme 'I STAND TALL'.
