House of Assembly Member, representing Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Nurudeen Saka Solaja was on Thursday, April 7, 2022, met with the leadership and members of Elder Reuben Adenrele Olowu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Igbogbo/ Baiyeku LCDA, to seek re-election for another term in office.
Solaja whose scheduled visit was greeted by cheerful welcome and waves at the APC Caucus meeting held at the official residence of Elder Olowu recorded a huge historic turnout by members and leadership of the group.
While the APC Caucus of Elder Olowu drummed up support for the re-election of Hon. Nurudeen Solaja, the Chairman, Public Account Committee (PAC) reeled out his 7years scorecards and master plans if given the mandate to represent the good people of Ikorodu constituency 2.
He, therefore, enjoined all well-meaning sons, daughters, and residents of Ikorodu Constituency II to support him as his return to the house will attract fresh meaningful developments and consolidation of existing state facilitated projects across the three(3) LCDAs that made up the constituency.
In his brief remarks, Former Senator, Adeseye Ogunlewe showered encomium on Solaja as a silent achiever whose seven (7)years in office as an Assembly member has recorded and attracted laudable projects Ikorodu Constituency 11 will forever remember him for.
‘If we return NS, the gains and blessings to Ikorodu Constituency 2 are enormous’. He added that Rotation is good but not at the expense of the development, progress and prosperity of the constituency.
Ogunlewe added that replacing NS Solaja with a Newcomer will take the constituency 10times backwards as most junior ranking members would go to the assembly to learn the rope of legislative business.
Saying it is time for Ikorodu Constituency 2 to rise above primordial sentiments and stop taking the backseat in the Lagos assembly every 8years. Rotation according to Ogunlewe makes development stagger and stagnant.
Speakers after speaker led by the caucus Chairman, Alhaji Benson passed a vote of confidence on Hon. Solaja, assuring him of the group’s maximum, undivided support in the upcoming primary and general elections
