Speaking with the media practitioners while taking them around, Oduborisa explained that during the beginning of his tenure, he outlined a 5-year agenda plan for the club, which some of his colleagues thought was not possible to accomplish. He said, "But as we speak, every project is been implemented and executed in record time". "As you can see, I came in and transformed my office to a presidential setting, where anyone that comes in would give us the reverence we truly merit as a Club among clubs". "The manager and Secretary's office is been renovated also. There is an ongoing renovation and upgrade of a space we've created for Elders meetings". "Our completed refurbished State of the Arts conference room, which was commissioned by the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the 11th of March 2022 has been commended by all who've seen or heard about it". "To crown it all, we're currently working on rejuvenating the ancientest hospital in Ikorodu, which is the Agbala Paediatric Care Centre". "We plan to make our 50th anniversary, which we'll mark by September/November 2023 an unforgettable experience". Oduborisa said his tenure, which is slated to expire by January 2024 will consciously enhance the state of the club, categorising his administration as progressive in nature. "We're backing our words with actions towards marking Oriwu Club of Ikorodu's 50th anniversary, you can be rest assured of that," Oduborisa affirmed. Members of Ikorodu Media Forum were in all, impressed with the record-time performance approach of Engr. Oduborisa. CBN PUSHES MORE BANKNOTES TO COMMERCIAL BANKS, ORDERS THEM TO OPERATE SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS ®™√ INN Nigeria © godwin emefiele1172182703286504474 The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has confirmed the evacuation of banknotes from its vaults to commercial banks across the country as part of a coordinated effort to ease the circulation of banknotes of various denominations. The Acting Director, of the Corporate Communications Department of the CBN, Dr Isa AbdulMumin, disclosed this in Abuja on Friday, stating that a substantial amount of money, in various denominations, had been received by the commercial banks for onward circulation to their respective customers. According to him, the CBN had directed all banks to load their Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) as well as conduct physical operations in the banking halls through the weekends. "Branches of commercial banks will operate on Saturdays and Sundays to attend to customers' cash needs," he noted, adding that the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Godwin Emefiele, would personally lead teams to monitor the level of compliance by the banks in various locations across the country. He, therefore, urged Nigerians to be patient as the current situation would ease soon with the injection of more banknotes into circulation. The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) had directed its members to picket the offices of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) nationwide over cash scarcity.
