Amid Adekunle Oduborisa, President of the club, whose creative and visionary foresight has peddled him over the years both in the private and public sectors. An up-close and personal discourse with the well-established president of the premier club became an adventurous tour for members of Ikorodu Media Forum (IMF) on the 24th of March 2023. From upgrading his office to that of a presidential par, and erecting symbolic flags at the gated entrance of the premier club, Oriwu club of Ikorodu has indeed heightened its taste according to its name. Speaking with the media practitioners while taking them around, Oduborisa explained that during the beginning of his tenure, he outlined a 5-year agenda plan for the club, which some of his colleagues thought was not possible to accomplish. He said, "But as we speak, every project is been implemented and executed in record time". "As you can see, I came in and transformed my office to a presidential setting, where anyone that comes in would give us the reverence we truly merit as a Club among clubs". "The manager and Secretary's office is been renovated also. There is an ongoing renovation and upgrade of a space we've created for Elders meetings". "Our completed refurbished State of the Arts conference room, which was commissioned by the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the 11th of March 2022 has been commended by all who've seen or heard about it". "To crown it all, we're currently working on rejuvenating the ancientest hospital in Ikorodu, which is the Agbala Paediatric Care Centre". "We plan to make our 50th anniversary, which we'll mark by September/November 2023 an unforgettable experience". Oduborisa said his tenure, which is slated to expire by January 2024 will consciously enhance the state of the club, categorising his administration as progressive in nature. "We're backing our words with actions towards marking Oriwu Club of Ikorodu's 50th anniversary, you can be rest assured of that," Oduborisa affirmed. Members of Ikorodu Media Forum were in all, impressed with the record-time performance approach of Engr. Oduborisa. LAMATA: BUS FARES IN LAGOS STATE RETURNS TO 100% ON APRIL 1ST ®™√ INN Nigeria © storage emulated 0 pictures comica cartoon16800705640744147684483959975454 The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has issued a message notifying residents of Lagos that with effect from Saturday, 1st April, bus fares on all regulated buses BRT, Standard and FLM- shall revert to a 100 per cent rate. The notice which was published on social media indicated that the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, on Lagos Wednesday, 8th February 2023 approved a 50% slash in bus fares following the cash crunch brought about by the recent currency swap. It continued, "Following the Supreme Court and Federal Government's pronouncements on the use of old notes alongside the new notes and the return of stability to the system, the 50% rebate is hereby discontinued". "Consequently, bus fares return to a pre-50% slash rate effective Saturday, 1st April 2023" the statement ends.

The Governor who spoke through his Social Media handles said he was going to honour the March 14 judgment of the Lagos division of the high court ordering the state government to pay ₦ 5 million as compensation to Clement. The Governor wrote, “Good evening Lagos, as Governor, I'm committed to upholding the rule of law and protecting citizens' rights with empathy and authority. "I recently became aware of the case involving Mr Clement Adedotun and the judgement by the Federal High Court, and I understand the impact this legal battle has had on him." "After reviewing Mr Clement's case, I've directed the Honorable Attorney General to set up a meeting and pay him the compensation awarded by the Court." “Although the State Government has appealed the ruling, I’ve interceded in this instance in the interest of the public good, and requested that the State’s Attorney General comply with the court’s ruling." “As a strong advocate for the rule of law, I commend all parties for seeking justice through the appropriate channels, and I remain committed to upholding the rights of all Lagosians".

LASG VOWS TO CONTINUE CLAMP DOWN ON MISCREANTS HARASSING MOTORISTS WITHIN THE STATE ®™√ INN Nigeria © fb img 16798554005228159388057465428565 The Lagos State Government has vowed to continue clamp down on miscreants who harass Motorists and truck drivers going about their lawful businesses, through continuous sting operations across the State. The Ministry of Transportation made this known at weekend while parading four suspected hoodlums by the name; Tunji Oyedeji, Allison Ozin, Taiwo Olubodun and Awotunde Ahmed, while carrying out their illegal activities in Amuwo-Odofin area of the State. Recall that the Transport Operations and Compliance Unit of the Ministry in February apprehended a group of miscreants in Igando axis, while extorting a tipper driver on his way to offload sand. Condemning their actions, the Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Frederic Oladeinde stated that the continuous arrest of these miscreants demonstrates the State Government’s resolve to ensure an enabling environment devoid of miscreants’ activities, saying, the Ministry will intensify its sting operations across the State to tame these urchins whose actions hinder economic development. The Transport Commissioner noted that the suspects arrested have been handed over to the Lagos State TASKFORCE for investigation and prosecution, warning others to desist from these illegal activities or be made to face the full wrath of the law in line with the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law 2018.
