The Majority Leader, in a bid to return and prolong his layout of quality representation and legislative stance at the assembly house, drummed his campaign apparatus, setting his 2023 re-election overture in full swing to the knowledge of his entire constituents.
A re-election trajectory which he deems a ‘Quest for more service in the interest of the Larger Picture’, Agunbiade left no stone undisguised as the national chairman of the majority leaders forum seized the proclamation event to unveil his numerous accomplishments over the years as he stood in the gap for the region at the house of assembly which he captioned ‘a river filled with sharks’.
“The notion is not about someone just joining the house, it is about an individual with the all-around experience, intelligence, legislative sense, wisdom and oversight to lead the garden and carry his entire constituents along” Agunbiade connotes as he emphasised his value and relevance in the LSHA terrain.
“Over the years, I’ve been able to successfully evolve and ascend the elevation of hierarchy at the house of assembly simply because I’ve mastered the craft of quality representation, pushing bills in favour of Ikorodu division and fiercely standing in the gap not only as an authentic ambassador but also as a balance protector of our core interests” Agunbiade proceeded
With the primaries drawing closer and candidates sprouting out from all alcoves to declare for the constituency 1 seat, Agunbiade further displayed his scorecard of accomplishments to the ears of the general public, placing value on his relevance, asserting that his eventual return will yield only more fortune for the waterbed region of the state.
From creating 110 jobs for youths within the constituency, Providing school infrastructure at Ipakodo and Ikorodu North LCDA, issuing 800 free UTME jamb forms to students for further education, an integral role in the conversion of LASPOTECH to the University of Science and Technology, Donating 10 infirmary beds to Ikorodu general hospital, sponsoring both ASA Carnival (which promotes the cultural heritage of Ikorodu division) and the annual Oba Shotobi independence day mini-marathon, Agunbiade affirmed that his tenacity to serve is a direct result of his constant and painstaking sought to better the lives of his constituents using all available opportunities.
Shedding light on motions which he had sponsored and moved in the house, ranging from; • Need to curb nefarious activities of surveyors in the state • Need to curb incidence of Rape, Defilement of minors and other sexual abuses in Lagos State • Petition against the activities of the special anti-robbery squad (SARS) • Need to check the resurgent activities of Land grabbers • Incessant traffic jam on Lagos roads and Crisis in LASPOTECH,
the majority leader averred to guests and stakeholders in attendance that it took his enormous legislative experience, which he’s earned over the years, backed with courage and boldness to lay all statutes in action.
