With the International Dance Day closing in, the Guild of Nigerian Dance Practitioners, Lagos State Chapter (GONDP) and Ikorodu Dance Forum is gearing high to stage programs that would kick off from the 27th of April in Ikorodu and crescendo on the 29th of April 2022 at Igando axis of Lagos state.

According to the chairman of the Guild in Lagos state (Ugo Obiayo Esq.), it is all about a Carnival of Colours with the theme ‘Role of youths in fostering peace and security in Ikorodu division’.

She stated furthermore, that Ikorodu Dance Forum (IDF) Carnival slated on April 27th will proceed from the Lagos State University of science and technology, formerly known as LASPOTECH by 8am
Then it will continue to Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS) Secretariat at the Ultra-modern Town Hall, later ending with a dance gathering at Oshodi Arts Gallery.

Ugo Obiayo Esq. continued, “It will be unique, colourful, exciting, educative and open for all dance and entertainment lovers to be a part of, it should be considered the beginning of a new era in Ikorodu dance/entertainment industry”
“We’re crisscrossing the central part of Ikorodu local government in order to make our existence felt with a bold public statement, our members are quietly preparing and we’re anticipating the best deliveries”

“Expect the best of entertainment and awareness as this will be the first official event post Ikorodu Dance Forum’s launch in the waterbed region” Ugo Obiayo asserted

Ikorodu dance forum (IDF) was birthed by the Guild of Nigerian Dance Practitioners (GONDP) in the first quarter of 2022 with its central station at Oshodi Arts gallery.
