As the race for Ikorodu constituency 2 at the Lagos state house of assembly continues to heat up with aspirants jumping into the train at the eleventh duration, ancestral figures has inserted their footprints in the ongoing transformational process.
Traditionalists, comprises of Osugbo, Awo Opa, Igunnuko, Jigbo worshipers across Ijede and Egbin town came out in full force on the 24th of April 2022 to weigh in on the political trajectory of Ikorodu constituency 2.
The traditionalists urged politicians and people of Ijede LCDA to do everything possible within the prerequisite towards the agreement of ensuring the rotational arrangement for constituency 2 in the Lagos State House Assembly’s seat is honoured.
Asserting that a legitimate indigene of Ijede LCDA should represent the constituency for another two political dispensation (i.e eight years).
The traditionalists further invoked natures, laying jinxes on any party leaders or politicians from Ijede LCDA that may support third term agenda or any none (Ijede LCDA) indigene that is contesting for the seat.
According to source, Chiefs in attendance were from both Ijede town and Egbin town; Lisa of Ijede, Aro of Ijede, Odofin of Ijede, Ajana of Ijede, Iya Agan of Ijede and all the community’s traditional heads.
