The Lion of Burdillon keeps roaring as the sensitisation train of South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA’23) smashes Lagos on the 9th of May 2022 hauling with it the message of Millions of Nigerians yearning for His Excellency, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu to become next president of Nigeria come the 2023.
The political group led by the former Minister of works and media adviser to the Late MKO Abiola; Senator Dayo Adeyeye launched the Lagos state women for SWAGA’2023 at the Haven Event Centre GRA Ikeja, bringing out personalities including the First Lady of Lagos state, Mrs Ibijioke Sanwo-Olu, wife of the deputy governor, Mrs Oluremi Hamzat, Mrs Kemi Nelson amongst other top female dignitaries from the south-western part of the Nation.
The first ladies assured the proponents of the movement of its ceaseless support, pledging to mobilise more political support for the group.
Adding that they would join hands with SWAGA coordinators to take the agenda beyond the Southwest region and make it a national movement.
Declaring their total support towards the group’s agenda, numerous dignitaries hitting the podium affirmed that SWAGA was formed based on the principle in Tinubu’s vision and political philosophy that prioritise expansion of human capital and economy.
They described the APC National Leader (Bola Tinubu) as a “core political thinker” of the modern age, remarking that Tinubu’s constituency in progressive politics strutted him out as a beacon and rallying figure eligible of providing directional leadership to the country in the next dispensation.
The south-west Agenda for Asiwaju known simply as SWAGA is developed to mobilise supporters towards the political aspirations of former Lagos governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a bid to create enhanced leadership over the nation.
Poised to proffer Yoruba’s long-standing call for political restructuring in Nigeria, the trend brought in Creme De La Creme including women leaders from across LG/LCDA fully embodied, the Tinubu’s fashion campaign group is recognised in touring the length and breadth of the South-West.
Aimed at telling Yoruba leaders and traditional rulers that a Tinubu presidency would improve the united concerns of the Yorubas, or the South-West agenda.
The enthusiasm galore also saw the unveiling of SWAGA’2023 excos to the nation at the high point of the event plus award presentation to important personalities including; Kemi Nelson, her excellency Florence ajimobi represented by Oyo south woman leader, Mrs Tokunbo Fayokun, Mrs Ayo Omidiron, Aarebirin Betty akeredolu represented by Titilade Adeboro, Mrs Akinyemi Omobolanle Obe, Alhaja Fatty Bello amongst others.
According to Senator Dayo Adeyeye, “Asiwaju Tinubu’s story has been a legend in vision, passion and action. These three values stand him out among his contemporaries in national politics today.
“It is no wonder the man stretches his arm of fellowship beyond Lagos, the State he led for eight years as a Governor and in which he bequeathed the legacy we are building on. He is nationalist in thinking and progressive in action”.
