3884geebn995369143653533351 An aspirant from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) gunning for Ikorodu constituency 1 at the Lagos State house of assembly, Hon Rotimi Balogun Olatunbosun has vilified the terror attack at the St. Francis Catholic church in owo-town of Ondo state.
The sad occurrence which coined the 5th of June 2022 as 'Black Sunday', took over news and social media in the latter part of the day sending shock waves across the nation and raising alarms about the level of insecurity present in the country.
Hon Balogun, also known as BRO condemned the senseless killings of innocent churchgoers, adding that leaders need to step their approach to proffer solutions to the challenge of insecurity once and for all.
The youth leader continued, "It is so sad to see how innocent people lost their lives in a place where they find solace with God to solve every of their life predicament".
"This one hits close to home because time after time we've seen that the attacks are crossing different boundaries. Where have we gotten it wrong when we have good security policies in place?".
Tilting toward a solution, Hon Balogun insisted that the Nation needs leaders that will ply extra harsh consequences against delinquents of this nature, adding that everyone must stand up tough against terrorism. "Sometimes you'll see reactions of some leaders in the face of a dastardly attack like this and you'd wonder if they are in support of such a barbaric and satanic crime against humanity".
"Our government must increase the charges against crimes like this to derail evil minds from it, and also as a people, we have to stand strong together because enough is enough. We must be more sensitive, security cautious and vigilant of our immediate surroundings" Hon Balogun surmised
