Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba officially became the National Chairman of the Association Of Local Government Vice-Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGOVC) on the 24th of June 2022.

The swearing-in ceremony which took place at the NICON luxury hotels in Abuja was officiated by the outgoing National Chairman, Hon. Lawrence Onuchukwu.

Hon. Lawrence before the swearing credited Folasahde as a capable leader and articulate manager, who’s equal to the task as National chairman based on their feat as his Vice, adding that he desires the best for her as she assumes a new office with greater responsibilities.

On the other hand, Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashade in her acceptance speech, thanked the outgoing chairman for his administrative approach, asserting her passion to follow suit in discharging her duties.

Folashade continued, “I am thankful and grateful of God’s great grace at the opportunity to serve at a higher level as National Chairman, Association of Local Government Vice Chairman of Nigeria and Executive Vice Chairman of Ikorodu LGA.

“24th of June 2022 will constantly remind me of God’s ultimate love, tremendous compassion, unending blessings and unwavering favour upon my life”.

“For my wonderful quintessential Leaders, Fathers, Mothers, and Mentors who have entrusted me with so much recourse to serve my people. This trust I will never take for granted. My promise is to give the very least at all times at service to God and Humanity”.

“Despite all odds I am always obedient to serve, furthermore, I relish my honourable associates, friends and most importantly, the good and great people of Ikorodu and Nigeria”.

“For the will to embrace a life of service, possess a heart of compassion and to see a setback as an avenue for better things to come, I am indeed humbled”.

“I have also resolved; To continue to live a life of service, to not be so hard on myself (my heart is in the right place, and I always mean well), to give without expectations, to work conscientiously, selflessly and tirelessly, like no one is watching” Princess Folashade surmised

Princess Folashade, who’s the present Vice-chairman of Ikorodu local government, is also well recognised as the D.G of Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement (ADAM) and the National PRO, Women For South-West Agenda For Asiwaju (SWAGA).
