The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Ikorodu & District Society had its Investiture of the 9th District Chairman and Inauguration of the Executive Committee on the 25th of June 2022.
With a mission to produce world-class Chartered Accountants, regulate and continually enhance their ethical standards and technical competence in the public interest, Princess Kafilat Omolade Hassan evolved into the 9th chairman for the year 2022/2023.
Sited at Ikorodu ultra-modern town hall, the 58th President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Traditional Rulers, ICAN Council Members, Patrons and Matrons, and lCAN Brand Ambassadors etc, graced the occasion.
Explaining its essence, Alhaji Awojobi Lateef, chairman of investiture and inauguration planning, said the District has grown in diverse ways in the few years of her existence and the members of ICAN Ikorodu & District Society are celebrating God’s grace by taking a step forward to also launch ICAN EXAM Centre in Imota.
With a vision to become a leading global professional body, ICAN Ikorodu and district society are poised to reflect accuracy and integrity.
Reiterating a validatory speech, Olusola Akinloye, 8th district chairman, provided numerous activities executed by the organisation, extending his profound affection to the council members and staff for genuine cooperation and support.
Post-inauguration, Princess Kafilat Omolade stated that her emergence is a great honour and rare privilege to sit as the 9th Chairman of the meritorious and award-winning District, ICAN Ikorodu and District Society, which humbles her.
Extending credits to her professional colleagues in ICAN Ikorodu and District Society, for the confidence reposed in her to carry on the mantle of leadership for the 2022/2023 Chairmanship year, “I want to reassure you of my commitment to service” she asserted
“I sincerely appreciate the 58th President of our great Institute, Mallam Tijjani Musa Isa, FCA, the Council Members and the Body of Past Chairmen for making this event a reality”.
“This medium is to especially appreciate my Mentor, Rev. Samson Adewale Disu, FCA, fondly called ‘The Mandela’, the District’s Pioneer Chairman, who encouraged me to join the District Executive in 2012 and never stopped supporting my ambitions” Princess Kafilat added
