Prolific fora organisation, Waves Media, swivels the ball as it marks 15 years of mass communicating beyond the shores of Lagos state on the 28th of June 2022.
The fast rising media faction took its celebratory tone to the secondary school wing of Homat group of schools in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA of Ikorodu, connecting the geriatric pupils with a driving pep talk program.
Captioned, ‘Finding your purpose in Life’, the symposium gave the student an eye entrance medium to discern how to uncover a fulfilling career, attract the right peers and sustain practice, endurance and priority in order to achieve their visions in life.
Guest speaker, Bayode Treasures-Olawunmi, Read2Build Guiness world record holder, admonish students to secure good character and dedication at all cost, pointing out that only enthusiastic learners ends up evolving a high flyer.
Bayode continued, “Initiating the Guiness book of world record reading contest, I had to starve myself from consuming food most times, not because I don’t feel like eating, but simply because I know it would take additional training to accomplish the record I purpose to attain”.
“That we commenced the same time doesn’t indicate we shall end at the same level, our different obligation method will position us contrarily to attain numerous commendations”.
“That’s why we have this room crammed with students, but at the other end we also have 5 extraordinary student sitting close to the cake, because from the onset till date, they’ve done outstandingly well in their performances, which has been seen within and outside the school”
“But remember, it is not over because for every person with a DNA, the journey has just began, this is why every students must now take up the challenge to stay on course and become a shinning light in this dark world” Bayode Treasures asserted
Furthermore, CEO of Waves media, Mr Lamina Azeez, in his short charge, exhorted students to engrave niches for themselves, instructing them to look beyond every form of distractions.
“Waves media is 15years today because I was always focus to drive the company without anyone’s supervision, as a graduate of mass communication, I had friends from school, but most of them, I can’t even tell where they’re now because I was so carried away with where I was headed”
