With Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye to represent Ikorodu constituency 1 and Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro to represent Ikorodu constituency 2 respectively as flag-bearing candidates for the All Progressives Congress (APC) party, Ikorodu federal lawmaker, Hon. Babajimi Benson has urged his constituents to standby for the party’s potential going into the general elections.
In a statement issued by the Lawmaker at his massive empowerment program held on the 20th of August 2022 at his constituency office, JB called on all party loyalists to put every difference aside, uplifting the party as a greater course for the growth of the region.
Encouraging genuine reconciliation between party faithful, especially, due to tensions that arose in both constituencies, Jimi Benson, declared that unity is the way forward for Ikorodu to continue to enjoy its current developmental pace.
He continued, “Our party’s approach now in Ikorodu’s All Progressives Congress should be from division to one vision, consolidating our passions, ideas and loyalty, throwing it behind our respective candidates to become victorious at the general elections”.
“The primary election has come and gone, the results are out!. Now, It is all about canvassing massive support from our entire wards in one voice and propelling our great party to greater feats”.
Expressing prior support for Hon. Gafaar Oluwatoyin Bolowotan to secure the Lagos state house of assembly seat in Ikorodu constituency 1, JB stated that the eventual emergence of Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye should not deter the focus of the party, expanding that all hands must be on deck to support the party’s candidate.
Jimi Benson later urged both flag-bearing candidates to visit the paramount rulers of their respective boundaries for successive special counselling, prayers and blessings.
