The newly constructed ultra-modern health centre in Ikorodu LG facilitated by Alhaja Shukurat Modupe Sanni (to mark her 60th birthday) has received an enormous commendation from Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina, Executive Chairman, Ikorodu local government.
A legacy project deemed a huge gain by the council boss to the health sector in the region was commissioned by His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi (Ayangburen Of Ikorodu Kingdom) on the 26th of August 2022.
Ikorodu federal lawmaker, Hon. Heralding Alhaja ‘Shine Shine’ as she’s fondly called, Hon. Wasiu Adesina stated that Shukurat Modupe Sanni is an indigene who’s a business tycoon and Philanthropist ready to support the government on health care services delivery in Ikorodu Local Government.
Asserting that it’s not the first time Alhaja Sanni is supporting the government, community and the less privileged, Adesina extolled her extraordinary donor of various sorts.
He continued, “Alhaja Shukurat Modupe Sanni has saved so many lives by mounting this beautiful edifice and also providing an ambulance. What she has done in the health sector will help to improve resource management and the quality of health services through sector reforms and institutional capacity building”.
“Alhaja Shukurat Modupe Sanni did not only donate a building, it includes heavy medical equipment such as a bed, anglepoise lamp, Sphigmanometer and auto-clave. I want to assure Alhaja Shukurat Modupe Sanni that the Local Government will make good use of her donation and also ensure the medical officers improve on their maintenance culture and maintain the edifice very well”.
“The significance of this project will strengthen service delivery, and improve the accessibility, quality and efficiency of PHC services in the community. It will also support primary-level curative services, promoting efficiency”.
Adesina later urged other philanthropists in the local government to emulate the good gesture of Alhaja Shukurat Modupe Sanni by investing in other government programs expanding that the government alone cannot do without the support of the people.
