ei 1662351221772 removebg preview8327950824693538923 The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) was established in April 1960 and serves as the umbrella organisation for all the various affiliate members within the country. Membership of the Association is voluntary and it compasses City, State and Bilateral Chambers, Business/Professional Bodies as well as corporate members. It champions the course of business through its advocacy role and influences public policies. The activities of the Association are in line with contemporary ideas of promotion of free enterprise through the Chambers of Commerce movement as is the case in neo-liberal economies across the world.
The NACCIMA Business Women Group (NAWORG) was created in December 2005 as one of the Trade Groups of NACCIMA with the mandate to coordinate the activities of women within the Chamber Movement across West Africa and the World at large
NACCIMA business women group (NAWORG) terms of reference Include: Encourage and facilitate women's participation in Commerce and Governance, Identify profitable business and market opportunities for members; Assist members to access loans as well as disseminate business information to members; Facilitate Trade among Women in Chamber Movement and within ECOWAS Sub-Region and World in general.
Sensitise and raise awareness among local business women within the Chamber movement and other business women groups in the West Africa Sub-Region who show a keen interest in Trade matters; Protection, Promotion and development of all matters affecting women in business; Contribution of ideas that is capable of developing businesses. Provision of network for national and international business contact and opportunities; Support mentorship and guidance Market link among members; Participate in Trade Fairs; Facilitate women participation in Commerce and Governance; Access loan and business information for members; Sensitise and raise awareness among local business women within the Chamber movement and other Business Women Group in the West Africa Sub-region.
Membership of NAWORG is open to all Women Entrepreneurs in Chamber Movement in Nigeria.
