Ikorodu Division Human Resources Development Board (IDHRDB) under the auspices of Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG) organised a workshop on financing opportunities for small & medium-scale enterprises for graduates of technical education and other disciplines in Ikorodu Division.
The program dated 22nd of September 2022, took place at the Oteju Multipurpose hall in Ikorodu Town hall converging aspiring and certified young business-minded individuals across the waterbed region.
The symposium, segmented into sessions, touched on Writing Business Proposal by the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and Financing Opportunities for Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in Nigeria by the Bank of Industry (Boi).
Throwing more light on the Lagos State Government Financing Opportunities for Small and Medium Scale Enterprises by Lagos State Employment Trust fund, the session also intimated attendees on how to benefit from Senator Tokunbo Abiru N300M Loan for MSMEs in Lagos East Senatorial District.
Prof. Emeritus Kunle Ade Wahab, OFR, OON, Chairman, IDHRDB, in his remarks instructed participants to concentrate on the sessions and gain from the numerous teaching phases of the workshop, adding that even though the finance scale might be minor, it would go a long way to aid their business experiences.
On the other hand, Prince Adesegun Olusola Ogunlewe, Chairman Planning Committee, also speaking in the capacity of Sen. Adeseye Kingsley Ogunlewe Chairman, IDRDG, made it apparent to partakers that no business starts on a large scale without comprehending the foundational rudiments to build it.
Business specialist, Mrs Oluwole O. brought the participants through a business plan formulation guide, giving room for further question and answer segments with the interactive class.
Alh. Sikiru O. Amure, Rev.Col (retd.) B.T. Onafowokan, Prince Adekunle Adesida, Mr Nurudeen Oduyemi, Alh. S. 0. Amure, Mr Austen T. Oduloye, Pharm Tunji Sanni, Prof. Kabiru O. Akinyemi and Mr Tolulope Kalejaiye were in attendance.
Realising that through sufficient growth and effective management of natural resources, the full potential of a community can be attained, IDHRDB is poised to direct desirable socio-economic growth and development.
The group has been instrumental in organising annually career guidance lectures for senior secondary school students, Assisting primary and secondary schools to upgrade their educational facilities and documentation academic infrastructure in the Division.
They also organise Fact-Findings Visitations to Secondary Schools in the Division, holding the annual Professor Anthony Afolabi Adegbola Memorial Lecture Series with a special focus on Agriculture and the organisation of the Education Stakeholders’ Summit every two (2) years.
The Education Committee of Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group 1993 metamorphosed into Ikorodu Division Human Resource Development Board (IDHRDB).
