The National Chairman of the Association of Local Government Vice-Chairmen in Nigeria (ALGOVC) and Executive Vice-Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba declares that work has officially begun in a countdown to the 2023 general elections in Nigeria.
In a message related to Ikorodu News Network (INN) on Sunday 9th of October 2022, Folashade enjoined all supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to deck hands together in ensuring a flawless victory for the party.
Asserting reasons why the party’s presidential flag bearers, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima is key to unlocking the real treasures of Nigeria’s democracy, Folashade-Oba stated that its time for national unity in diverse ideology speaks for itself.
She continued, “For all of us, it is obvious that picking Shettima as running mate is not a sign of bias against any religion or ethnic group, but an informed step adopted to elicit eligible candidates”.
“As a nation builder, whose strides have produced transformational landmarks for a lot of industries, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu took the yield of a tested politician and technocrat from the minority Kanuri ethnic group from the north-east”.
“It simply shows that our unity is beyond all boundaries, religions and tribes”.
“With that said, it is time for us all to now embrace thorough healing and peace, put all we’ve been through aside and give Nigeria the change it truly deserves by canvassing for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to become the next president of the federal republic of Nigeria in 2023” She broadened.
The vice-chairman noted that the present vibrant Lagos state government ably led by Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is a product of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and after seeing the result driven tendencies of Mr Governor, he also deserves to return to office with his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat to continue his good leadership.
Folashade-Oba, who earlier this year was installed as Aarebirin Bobaselu of Orile-Agege land, narrowed her campaign down to her constituency in Ikorodu division, where she further urged voters to throw their support for Senator Tokunbo Abiru, who’s representing Lagos East Senatorial district at the Red Chamber, and Honorable Babajimi Benson (MHR), representing Ikorodu federal constituency.
She progressed, “One cannot quantify the level of brilliance drawn into the political spectrum by our distinguished Senator Tokunbo Abiru, who in a very short time has proven beyond every distrust that he’s capable”.
“His tech-driven capacity is second to none, as he continues to empower communities, business owners, youths and students alike with numerous schemes that have elevated many in Lagos East”.
“Honourable Babajimi Benson, on the other hand, can be likened to a mastermind of the industrial push, whose developmental feat in Ikorodu division is ground-breaking, he needs no introduction, his work speaks for him”.
“If I want to go on and on in highlighting their various achievements, I won’t stop, their track record of attracting growth and development to Ikorodu has overwhelmed us, and we know their return to service as a quality representative is paramount to the further expansion of this waterbed region”.
“As we begin the countdown to the 2023 elections, let the work starts in campaigning to propel all our All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates for a landslide victory”. She asserted.
Urging Nigerians to come together and work for the common good of the Nation, Folashade-Oba amplified her call by entrusting party loyalists to see the kick-off campaign as a personal responsibility to deliver victory for APC, extending her campaign rally towards Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, Ikorodu Constituency 1 candidate and Hon. Moshood Aro, Ikorodu constituency 2 candidate respectively.
She’s the founder/ GDG (Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement) ADAM, Global President, (Yoruba Council of Women World Wide) & AARE AREWA OODUA.
Folashade is also the National Director of the APC Professional council (Contacts and Mobilisation), National PRO, Women For Swaga and National Welfare Director, PROJECT 774.
