With likes of Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro (Ikorodu constituency 2 candidate), Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye (Ikorodu constituency 1 candidate), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadegbo-Alogba (Executive Chairman, Ijede LCDA), and Comrade Biliamin Lekan Oba (State Chairman, National Youth Council Of Nigeria), attending as town heroes to jive up the crowd, the assembly gave fora for youth leaders to amass morals in preparation to control their civic right to vote.
Director-General of iCare Foundation, Mayor Dean Sanwo-Ola, who briefly touched down at the event, urged youths to gain clarity and truth about the need to exercise their civic right before stepping into the polling booth.
"Presently, one out of 5 among every youth in Ikorodu is political inclined".
"But aside from that, your eligibility to vote makes you a bonafide party member and an active politician".
"This coming election is not a jamboree, our party should not make that mistake that 'we gat this!, our quest to win must be on point, which is absolutely about getting everyone to vote" Sanwo-Ola added.
Squarely to canvass enormous support for the party's flag-bearers at all levels, the gathering was highly evaluated as an impetus boost among the youth branch in the region.
"We have Dr Muritala Seriki (Youth Leader, APC Lagos State), Hon. Olugbenga Balogun (Youth Leader, APC Lagos East) and Dada Olusegun (SA on New Media To Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu) with other vibrant leaders here, which means the youth is ready to make their vote count in Ikorodu" Babatunde Oyesanya (T.O.D) APC Youth Leader, Coordinator, Ikorodu Division.
As different youth leaders took to the podium to hail the level of youth inclusiveness observed in Ikorodu political spectrum, flag-bearing candidate; Hon. Aro Moshood and Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye seized the medium to thank youths across Ikorodu division for their support, urging them to intensify backing as the campaign flags off properly. Azeez Olosugbo (Youth leader) also in attendance, asserted his consent to both constituency 1&2 Ikorodu candidates, explaining that the APC leadership has given the best prospects to deliver, going forward post-primary elections. According to Dada Olusegun, "If indeed, Ikorodu is the 4th largest city in the southwest, it means the value of its political will must be felt during the elections".
He expanded that the strength of youths must tilt towards gaining a landslide victory for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Tokunbo Abiru, Hon. Babajimi Benson (MHR), Hon Moshood Abiodun and Gbolahan Ogunleye.
