During the vision project executed by Ikorodu Diamond lions club, it was discovered that some registered individuals required cataract surgery to restore their sight.

The club, in its magnanimity, took it upon itself to guarantee that the persons were referred to Ajayi Medical centre in Ikorodu, where the surgery was performed.

On the 11th of October 2022, all 4 individuals successfully underwent the surgery which was also supervised by the voluntary members of the club including its president, Lion Babatunde Akadri Adeleke ‘Sayleke’.

One of the beneficiaries with both eye defects, Mrs Musa Olubukola said she had lost hope some years ago believing that there is no way out of it. She explained that her 2 milky eyes defect caused her son to stop schooling to look after her.

Families of the beneficiaries have since extended their heartfelt gratitude to the club for touching the lives of people across the waterbed region in diverse areas.
