Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu were accompanied by the Wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Oluremi Hamzat, and other senior officials of the state government, where they empathized with the victims and assessed their ongoing treatment at the health facilities. The hospitals visited include the General Hospital, Gbagada; Lagos State Accident and Emergency Centre, Toll Gate; and the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja. They went on a ward round and got a first-hand briefing on the train crash and efforts to save lives. Whilst commiserating with the patients at the Lagos State Accident and Emergency Center, Senator Tinubu came across a 23-year-old man, Osita Anazi from Ebonyi State, who was involved in an auto accident and required surgery as a result of pains arising from clinical right femoral fracture. Senator Tinubu keenly enquired about his condition and out of compassion pleaded with the young man, who didn’t have the financial means for the surgery, to stay back in Lagos, assuring that fees for his treatment would be paid. According to her, “Lagos accommodates all citizens and prioritizes the welfare and well-being of all Nigerians.” Besides, Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu commiserated with the families that lost their loved ones, describing the accident as unfortunate and deeply painful. Speaking in an interview at LASUTH, Senator Tinubu urged drivers to be more careful and work to avoid situations that can result in the loss of precious lives in the future. “From our assessment of the situation, we can see that the patients are in good hands; they are stabilized. We are not God but we are saddened by what has happened. “We hope that the drivers are more careful to avoid this in the future. We commiserate with the families that lost their loved ones and wish those who are here speedy recovery,” Senator Tinubu said. She also commended the State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the State Government for taking care of the medical bills of all the patients, just as she presented various gift items to the victims to aid and fast-track their recovery process.

The ward, comprising 70 CDAs, standing firmly behind APC, brought out community leaders, ward excos and party members en mass, galvanising eligible voters before the general elections to aid the ruling party. Presided over by Pastor Samson Oluwasegun Omomo, Secretary to Ikorodu North CDC and Chairman of ward B3 Isiwu joint CDA, the program symbolised the CDAs official proclamation of support for the All Progressive Congress (APC) party ahead of the elections. Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Bldr Adeola Adebisi Banjo, who was represented by Mr Niyi Odugbesi, Secretary to the council boss, told Ikorodu News Network (INN) that the agenda seeks to prepare voters ahead. As stated by Mr Niyi, "With the elections just days to go, this program strengthens the people's devotion to ensure victory for our party, the All Progressive Congress (APC)". "Despite the economic downturn due to the naira scarcity, we refused to be downtrodden and weak, we'll continue to send our message across right till Election Day". "While he had to catch up with another official assignment, Bldr Banjo requested I stood in the gap for him here, to engage our people and let them know that our country is in good hands with the APC, which will give us more developmental modification" Mr Niyi noted Comrade Adekoya Babatunde, a ward B3 CDA chairman, illustrated that every APC card carrier should not be worried about the ongoing naira scarcity, citing the crisis as an economic frustration ploy to sway party faithfuls from exercising their civic responsibility. He asserted that all members singing the mandate song for the development of Nigeria should be ready to demonstrate it on the 25th of February and March 11th with their PVC, voting all APC candidates from top to bottom. Another ward B3 Isiwu chairman, Mrs Agiri Adetokunbo, in her short message, explained to able voters their expectations before and during election day. According to Adeyemi Habeeb, The forum is established to propagate the feats of Senator Tokunbo Abiru and also mobilise voters to re-elect him back to the office. Detailing the accomplishments of the Senator, Habeeb said an 80-seater bed hospital was established in Ikorodu North LCDA by Senator Abiru to support the Isiwu community, which lessened the stress load on Ikorodu general hospital. Habeeb clarified that Senator Abiru also facilitated the installation of transformers. "There are elders in the community that are beneficiaries of Senator Abiru's covid-19 relief aid, putting 10 thousand naira in their account monthly, not to talk about students' bursary programs which the distinguished Senator has consistently provided too". A collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, and the Lagos State University of Science and Technology, LASUSTECH, the Ikorodu Division Expo is organised by the Ikorodu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI). Held at the LASUSTECH campus, It is organised to energise small-scale enterprises, recognising their key potential to an inclusive and sustainable recovery for economic development. The official opening of the trade fair peaked on Monday, 27th of March 2023, with likes of royal personalities; HRM, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom, HRM, Oba Abdul-Semiu Oyebo, Obateru of Egbin Kingdom, HRM, Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, HRM, Oba Mudashiru Ajibade-Agoro, Ranodu of Imota and HRM, Oba (Engr) Bashir Aremu Sotonwa, the Sekumade of Ipakodo were all in attendance. Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Dr. (Mrs.) Lola Akande at the opening ceremony, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Adetutu Ososanya, affirmed that the administration of Governor Sanwo-Olu is intentional about implementing programmes and projects meant to support businesses in the State. According to Chief Shoderu, reiterating his earlier statement at the press conference before the launch, the Trade Fair (IKODIV) gives a platform to showcase products and services while exploring opportunities for growth and innovation. The Keynote Speaker and Lagos State Chairman, of the Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), Dr Adams Adebayo emphasised the need to support MSMEs as they are the backbone of every economy. Dr Adams eliminated that the challenges confronting the MSMEs varied and include access to low-interest loans, inadequate infrastructure, subsistence and manual production, mindset and lack of innovative ideas. He continued, "Relevant institutions must create access to low-interest funds for entrepreneurs to access while there is a need for MSMEs to scale up their production to meet local and export needs". "I also want to advise the Government to create a three-year pre-retirement entrepreneurship/investment window to transform public servants into entrepreneurs", he stated. In his brief address, the Vice-Chancellor, of Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya averred that the Trade Fair is an opportunity to grow the economy of the Ikorodu Division. Prof. Odusanya explained that focusing on the MSME sector can transform even the nation's economy and lift people out of poverty.
