Megalite event centre in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA was the venue for LGA's and Ward Executives to coalesce for an alliance forum across Ikorodu constituency 2 on the 22nd of November 2022.
Graced by Apex Leaders, Local council bosses and councillors across wards in the waterbed region, the event exemplified itself as a roadmap to infer loyalists on banding to attain victory in the oncoming 2023 general elections.
Appreciating everyone for taking out their time to attend the meeting, AMA stated that soon enough, he'll be taking his campaign to the constituency 2 regions i.e Igbogbo Baiyeku, Ijede LCDA and Imota LCDA, soliciting a massive show of support from all party loyalists.
Vowing his pursuit not to disappoint both leaders, backers and predecessors, AMA exhorted party-eligible voters to turn up en mass to vote for him during the election.
He continued, "My mission is to deliver quality representation for the good people of Ikorodu constituency 2 at the Lagos state house of Assembly, capitalising on the great feats attained by my forebears".
“As a progressive; representing Ikorodu constituency 2 will keep me busy developing our region, likened to genuine inhabitants and government relationships".
Illuminating different sectors he maintains interest to enhance across the region, AMA said that health, education, empowerment and social development would be his priority if elected.
According to him in closing, youths will be committed to various work schemes in Igbogbo Baiyeku, Imota and Ijede while further plans will be put in place to ensure the community is safe for business.
Also, charging stakeholders in attendance, Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr. Olusesan Daini called on all members to turn up and deliver a landslide victory to the party flag-bearers.
Bldr. Daini continued "We have over 100 polling booths in Igbogbo, 70 in Imota and 40 in Ijede, with 15 votes from each booth we'll realise 3,000 accrued votes from constituency 2 to propel our candidates". Directing his words of guidance towards the constituency 2 candidate, Daini implores Hon. Abiodun not to negate the promises he made to both leaders and supporters once he arose triumphant. Expanding that AMA should gaze at the exemplary works of his predecessors and utilise them as a template to improve his constituency further. "You should not get to the house of Assembly and stop listening to your leaders or people, it is a place for you to put the interest of the people first" Diani asserted in advising Hon. Moshood.
Former chairman of Ijede LCDA, who also contested for the house of assembly seat at the primaries, expressed his enthusiasm on the turnout and essence of the stakeholder's meeting to Ikorodu News Network (INN).
Hon. Fatiu Salisu noted, "It is the first stakeholders meeting AMA is having after his victory at the primaries, and to me, the meeting has been a fruitful outing because virtually all stakeholders from constituency 2 are present pledging their support".
"We're using this opportunity to also let the world know that we're fully behind Hon. Moshood Abiodun Aro, which we're going to demonstrate during the elections by the special grace of God".
Adding that it's Ijede's turn to take a competent candidate to the house of assembly, Hon. Fatiu concluded that all hands must be on deck to ensure AMA emerge victorious.
Similarly, the Executive Chairman of Imota LCDA, Prince Wasiu Kunle Agoro and the Council Boss of Ijede LCDA, Hon Motunrayo Gbadegbo-Alogba took the stage to substantiate their massive support for Hon. Moshood Aro, who they deem a whiff of fresh air and a new era to the development of the people in the region and the party in general.
Leaders at the event relatively lauded the LCDA council chiefs for gluing together to support Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro, considering the synergy unprecedented and spice to adequately galvanise massive campaigns to secure electoral success in 2023.
