Members of the Golden Dames Club of Ikorodu who had prior donated an acre of land at Oloye Estate, Eruwen, Ikorodu, to the community to erect a public secondary school received an honorary award at the 4th education stakeholders summit organised by Ikorodu division human resource development board, under the auspices of Ikorodu division resource development group (IDRDG).
The award was presented to the club members on the 1st of December 2022, at Ikorodu ultra-modern city hall by HRM, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, Ayangburen of Ikorodu kingdom, received by the club’s president, Mrs Olatokunbo Obafemi-Adegbola.
Golden dames club of Ikorodu is a non-governmental organisation, that specialises in educating the youths on drug abuse, sex education, career talks etc.
Mrs Oluwagbemiga Benson, Chief Mrs Tinuade Gbadamosi, Alhaja Abibat Bawaallah, Chief Mrs Modupe Oshinowo, Alhaja Ibironke Yussuph, Olori Adenike Sotonwa and Princess Adenike Ladega also chaperoned the club’s president to receive the award.
A Community development club, known for hugely donating an acre of land to Oloye Estate CDA for the development of a public secondary school in Ewu-Oloye, Erunwen, Ikorodu Lagos State in 2020.
