Members of Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club took her statute of benevolence to Maya secondary school on the 8th of December 2022.
The school which is situated in Ikorodu North axis of the waterbed region saw the club facilitating free diabetes and blood tests for both students and teachers in the institution.
Presided over by the club’s President, Lion David Akinosho and coordinated by Lion Kayode Aluko, the project received high commendations from both the school’s administration and students alike.
Just a week ago, the club had earlier touched down the primary axis of the school, providing certificates of participation and free pairs of uniforms for students that won her creative peace poster competition.
Medical doctors were present at the program to educate beneficiaries on diabetes and the essence of also administering the tests using appropriate instruments.
According to the club’s President, Lion David Akinosho, diabetes is simply a health ailment that results from increased sugar levels in the blood.
He asserted that before the tests began, everyone was educated by a medical professional on how the nature of the disease could be sufficiently managed to ensure that the patient lives for as long as feasible.
