COUNCIL ADMINS GET OFFICIAL CAR AS IKORODU LOCAL GOVERNMENT SPLASHED 2.5 MILLION ON WELFARE PACKAGES TO WIDOWS & OLD PEOPLE ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

898777uki5959703957257664213 It was all appreciation, excitement and prayers extended by beneficiaries towards the leadership of Ikorodu Local Government on the 14th of December 2022.
The council, as professed ahead, formally presented official cars to its Legislative arms, the Vice-Chairman, the Secretary to the Local Government and supervisors, enhancing the free and smooth delivery of good administration.
Furthermore, One Hundred (100) widows and elderly were given Ten thousand naira each I.e One Million Naira (N1,000,000.00) in total and also One Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N1,500,000.00) worth of welfare items were distributed to the widows and elderly.
Chaired by his wife, Mrs Abolanle Adesina, the occasion was also graced by apex leaders; Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, former deputy governor of Lagos state, Basorun Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa, former Lagos state service commission chairman and a host of others.
Hinting that he has proposed other benefits and welfare packages to all its management staff which would come in phases, Hon. Wasiu Adesina expressed the need to support his workforce as a means to promote a conducive working environment.
Extending his appreciation to the Lagos state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and party leaders, Adesina urged capable hands to key into the spirit of giving in the yuletide season.
"We're embarking on this 2in1 program today because this administration appreciates the good people of Ikorodu for their support in maintaining the peace and security of Ikorodu at all times".
Wife of the Executive Chairman, Mrs Abolanle Adesina explained that it is very important to establish and maintain cordial relationships with widows, old people and less privileged while identifying with the issues and challenges that affect their lives.
According to her, the event is all about extending the goodwill of the administration to the aged and the less privileged in society.
She continued, "In recent times, it was observed that our widows, aged people and less privileged are faced with a lot of challenges such as abuse, neglect, despise, and violence and mostly suffer from financial hardships and health challenges".
Additionally (Mrs Abolanle explained) that the aged people are ill-treated, which has led to frustrations, depression and sometimes suicide cases among them.
She concluded by extending her gratitude to all party stalwarts, stakeholders and prominent people for their unwavering support and prayers towards her husband's successful term in office.
The former deputy governor of Lagos state and Ikorodu Apex leader, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye and Alhaji Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa, current chairman, of Exclusive Club Ikorodu, did the honour of numerous presentations at the occasion, which was also chaperoned by the Executive Chairman and his wife.
