As Ikorodu federal lawmaker quests to put additional smiles on the faces of his constituents this Christmastide, beneficiaries are returning the favour, galvanising their support towards the legislator.
Members of Ndigbo APC in Ikorodu Central affirmed their unified backing for Hon. Babajimi Benson (MHR) to be re-elected back to the house of representatives, classifying the performance of the National lawgiver as assuring and extraordinary.
The group assembled at the constituency office of the federal lawmaker on the 17th of December 2022, the same day Jimi Benson undertook the distribution of 1000 food bags of rice to residents across the Ikorodu division.
Yielding the blessings, the group presented a support campaign banner in addition to custom-made exercise books (in packs) for the lawmaker to be given to students in his constituency.
The souvenirs were received by Mayor Deen Sanwo-Ola, Special advisory Aid to Jimi Benson and Director General, iCare Foundation.
Speaking with Ikorodu News Network (INN), Elder Peter Kpajie, Youth Leader, Ndigbo APC in Ikorodu Central said that the group came to honour the honourable, asserting that Jimi Benson is a man that cares.
Regarding the day as unique, Elder Peter illustrated that Hon. Babajimi Benson’s level of help slices across all cultures and ethnic groups, which has in numerous ways stimulated growth in the towns.
He continued, “Simply because of what he has done over time for the people of Ikorodu division, we’re here to present a special campaign banner we made, expressing our hundred per cent support towards his re-election bid because we’re sure of his accomplishments”.
“We moreover, produced custom-made exercise books for him, which will be distributed to students in schools, because we want our children to get very accustomed to his face every time they use it, so they’ll understand who JB is to us”.
“The 60leaves exercise books also document the MHR’s achievements, this is to enable our children to understand what it takes to be a quality diplomat”.
Elder Peter in closing urged fellow Ndigbo (with permanent voters cards) across the division to come out en mass and ensure Jimi Benson gains a landslide victory at the elections.
“We’re pushing to commit everything necessary to guarantee our amiable MHR returns to the 9th National Assembly come 2023”.
