Leadership and voluntary members of Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club joined Ikorodu Oga Lions Club on the 31st of December 2022 to cater to over 270 individuals.
The special feed the hunger outreach took place at Ikorodu garage, giving residents reasons to smile into the new year (2023).
As part of its core purpose, the club broadened the welfare package to municipal subordinates like LASTMA, Bus drivers and other passersby.
During the program, Lion David Akinosho, Charter President, of Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club told Ikorodu News Network (INN) that the club decided to help its sister club to execute the project because Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club was also deemed to implement a feed the hungry undertaking which time didn’t consent.
Lion Akinosho continued, “We were supposed to perform a similar project around this same time, but due to some reasons we couldn’t”.
“At that, we’ve decided to join and support our sister club (Ikorodu Oga Lions Club) to aid them in carrying out a successful program at the heart of Ikorodu”.
“When it comes to servicing humanity, we’re all doing the same thing in making the world smile, knowing that the government cannot do it by themselves”.
Lion Akinosho, who was chaperoned by the club project coordinator, Lion Aluko Kayode and other members commended every team for accomplishing such a laudable crossover project.
