Crossover morning between 2022 and 2023 was a remarkable sight to behold as the ordinance of aid to humanity was taken to another status by Ikorodu Oga Lions Club.
The newly established club took its entire volunteers and administration to the heart of Ikorodu garage on the composure to feed the hunger, heightening smiles and excitement to both faces of the less privileged and functioning selves at the epicentre of the waterbed region.
Firmly helped by Ikorodu Peculiar Lions club leadership and members, takeaway food packs were distributed to over 270 persons in a bid to improve human flourishing.
Labouring to quench the nutrition crisis sourpuss upon the local communities, the club went all out giving, with the belief that true community improvement depends on the thriving of its members.
Led by Lion Elizabeth Adejoke Soyebi NLCF, President, Ikorodu Oga Lions Club, and chaperoned by Zone 5A chairperson, Lion Adefunke Oluranti Esan NLCF, the program was positively received and credited my dwellers.
Exhibiting a sophisticated synergy between Ikorodu Oga Lions Club and Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club, it endowed inhabitants at the gathering perimeter.
According to Lion Elizabeth Soyebi, the project of feeding the hungry came to Ikorodu garage where there are more needy people barricading the movement axis of Ikorodu’s main entry point.
Lion Elizabeth further expressed her profound gratitude to God and her entire members, including Ikorodu Peculiar lions club for making the project successful.
